This is fantastic, exactly the reason the various fire departments & schools do so much fire safety education !!!

Safety Education is an absolute life-saving strategy.
I hope that they did not loose too much in the fire.

It would be a good idea for fire departments to go to schools once a year and give a "refresher presentation" to the kids in fire safety.

Marie, I know in Lincoln County they have Fire Prevention week and the firefighters go up to the school and teach the kids what to do every year

Hey Luke, I go to you're school. My teacher mentioned the accident... I am really impressed. I am a 5th grader and I was thinking as I read this, "Wow, If the firefighters never came to Warren, he would've never known!" GREAT JOB!! And happy birthday early...

Wow, nowhere in this article does it tell what really happened. What about ADT calling the house warning of a house fire and the mother getting the child out of the house. Guess that would be a boring story huh. You should report the news not make it up.

I think it's you who needs to get the story staight!! It's been 3 years today. My son did call 911 as well as ADT. I was not home. My husband was outside. My son got out by the instructions of the wonderful firefighters that had just done a lesson at school. ADT called me in my car when I was 5 miles away to inform me I had a fire at my home and they were dispatching emergency services. I think my son made the call first!!
