Well said, Tom. My recent post (below) is along a similar vein. I hope the general public recognizes how disingenuous Michelle Rhee, Joel Klein, Governor Scott, Governor Walker, Bill Gates, and even SecEd Duncan are when they repeatedly blame poor teaching on the plight of our school systems these days...and see beyond their rhetoric to the harsh reality facing teachers, principals, and students every day across America, especially in low-income districts. ALL of their fanciful and wishful thinking falls flat when tried in the classroom...hopefully, they will look to teachers for suggestions, and stop blaming them for problems beyond their direct influence.

Sorry Dave, we already spend more per pupil than other countries whose students outperform ours. Throwing money at it doesn't work.
