Ramsey County deputy is fired on while moonlighting at nightclub

WOW R U SERIOUS?! I TEND TO GO TO THE CLUB EVERY DAMN THURSDAY! MOST OF THE TIME THE PEOPLE CAN GET IMMATURE BUT THAT DONT MEAN KNOCK WHO ELSE GOES THERE!! Who pays for the gas and mileage on the department "unmarked" car while the deputy is making cash on the side? Obviously it lends more credibility to be recognized as a "deputy" while moonlighting another job, but how far does the authority go while off duty and collecting pay from another source? Does this pay get reported through the department or is it between the deputy and the other employer? Anyone know?
All in all - pretty stupid to shoot at a deputy who obviously was making his presence known. I wonder if they found out who the real target was?

Why don't they shut that damn club down? Its been trouble ever since it opened. Thank God no one was hurt. I have great respect for members or law enforcement who put themselves in harms way everyday. You are my heros. Anybody can be a loser. They're a dime a dozen. I LIVE NEAR THE AREA, I HEARD ABOUT 7 SHOTS THEY WERE LOUD AND IN A ROW, I THEN HEARD COPS SPEEDING TO THE SCENE,THANK GOD HE IS OKAY. PLEASE FIND A WAY TO CLOSE THIS CLUB.
