TTB, who pizzed in your cheerios this morning? Do you really think teachers unions are going to protect idiots like this? Teachers choose their professions because they care for kids and want to make a positive difference in their lives, but like any other occupation, you get some bad apples that slip through. Teachers want these people out of their professions more than anybody. You are severely misinformed and obviously have some kind of axe to grind with education and I imagine its because it's some teacher's fault that you aren't very smart yourself. Stoning him to death would be a fair penalty because losers like this will always prey on innocent victims... forget rehabilitation.... that only stops them UNTIL they do it again!

This is just going to keep happening until they take sexual abuse seriously. Getting someone drunk or drugged to take advantage of them is still seen as a minor incident. Check on the light sentences given these perverts and you won't wonder how come they keep doing it.

Now Gundy gets to defend this POS. Maybe Mary Catherine Ricker will come to this guy's rescue.

They just don't understand this guy's culture.

Is there some website where these kind of things are or could be posted, and then readers like us could write to the judges? The names and contact info of the appropriate judges, etc. could be compiled for easy access to people who care. That way maybe justice officials would know that we take it seriously. A follow-up could be posted regarding whatever sentence was given, so we could be informed and contact judges who "don't take these kind of crimes seriously."

I work with this teacher. Just so you all know the District has instructed all of us not to talk to the press to blog about this situation.

Mr. Swanson taught Math at Ramsey.

Here is what he posted on the school's web site:

"Hello, I'm Robert Swanson. I am so excited about this year. There
are so many exciting things we are doing, your student will love coming to math."

I know why he was so excited.

I will finish the journalism for the Pioneer Press. KSTP is saying the following....
Robert Swanson, who teaches math at Ramsey Junior High School, was arrested and booked into the Isanti County Jail Monday evening.
Wonder if the Pioneer Press is hiring!!! I found that information in about 10 seconds!!
The St. Paul Pioneer Press chose to intentionally leave out the name of the school. I suppose it was meant to protect the girl's indentity to a certain extent. Of course they knew the name of the school. You can quit patting yourself on the back now.

Next you are going to say a cop hit a student in the lunchroom, oh wait that did happen.

Ramsey needs new leadership. Swanson is only the start. The school board needs to replace the principal and APs.

I don't think you have to have a license to teach. Obviously, you also don't need to have any morals or good judgement. He will get 6 months in jail....watch.

<quoted text>I doubt it. The teachers' unions protect these creeps all the time. After he gets out, the union will help him get another teaching job in another state while helping hide his record; conversely, teacher's union perverts from other states come here to rape our kids. You can be sure only a tiny minority of government teachers are normal people.
it's called "pass the trash"---

http://www.oregonlive.com/special/index.ssf/2...

Let's handle this they we handled "that other scandal." Sell the public schools, all their land, buildings, and assets, seize their banks accounts, and distribute the proceeds to pay out multi-million dollar judgments, while villifying unindicted officials including the principals, the members of the local school board, the head of the state Dept. of Education, and the No Child Left Behind program.

The difference being you donít go to jail if you fail to send your kids to Catholic Church.
