This isn't the only time that Michael Sontoya has been involved in violent attacks. He was just on trial not to long ago for attempted murder because he shot and grazed a man ear. He got off because of his brother being a St. Paul cop. It will be interesting how this plays out because of his brotherly connections.

I cant believe that he would do this and anyone else that knew him would say the same thing. He's the only suspect because he was the only 1 in the home at that time. When the optopsy comes back and insists on foul play then point the finger. I knew both of them so not judging here at all. Sorry to the victims family and friends, my condolences to you all.

I agree with "stunned." I, too, knew both of them and will refrain from making any judgments until more details are provided, as should a lot of others who are jumping to conclusions. In my heart I absolutely do not believe that Mike would ever do something like this to anyone. He is not that person at all. It is a very sad situation all around, and my prayers and condolences go out to both of them, as well as their families.

Making judgments at this time is uncalled for. We have no way on knowing what happen in that house. I agree with "stunned and Oakdale", if you truly knew Mike there is no way he would have done this. And so what if he has a brother that is a cop, that has nothing to do this case. I, too, knew and grew up with both of them and we should all just wait for the autopsy and more details before making a judgment on him being guilty. My thoughts and prayers go out to both of the families.

People said that about Jeffrey Dahmer too. They couldn't believe he would do such a thing as he was such a nice guy. Not judging, waiting for more information. Just because someone is a nice guy doesn't mean they aren't capable of causing greivous harm.

You are absolutely right, Mark, with respect to Jeffrey Dahmer. But with regard to this case, as of now, no one knows what happened. Until he is proven guilty, I will go on believing that Mike did not do this.

People need to take a step back and quit arguing about who did what and why?? It will come out in the open what really happened. Everything always does. What people to need worry about and think about are THEIR kids. The kids always seem to end up being the victims in sad situations like this. I feel for her kids and his. They are both the victims here without a voice!

I agree fully with this statement, but we need to get the facts before pointing the finger, false accusations will get this case no where, the truth will come out, and just so you know there is more to the story then what police are letting everyine know.

Re-read your last comment.

"just so you know there is more to the story then what police are letting everyine know."

Sounds to me like you know more than what the cops do. Maybe you should call the information hotline and tell them what you know.

with tears in my eyes i write this..out of all the comments i read only 1 says anything about the kids..all in all they are the ones hurt the most out of all this. as with any death that is under suspicion there is going to be a story in everyones head different then the next and at the end of the day by the time it gets to the last person it is something farr more different then when it started out. let the police do their jobs and put the rest in the lords hands. because as of now the healing must begin. not only for the FAMILY and friends but of those beautiful iINNOCENT CHILDREN left here without a mother.

I know the family of her very well... she has four of the most beautiful kids in the world... it was really hard for me to see my niece and nephew(who are best friends with her kids) after my brother had told them the bad news... all i know is im going to do everything i can do for those kids and the father of the kids who is hurting very much.

If any of you out there knew these two individuals you would stop writing and let these families grieve. Gabi is gone, 4 children have to endure every day without a mother who loved them so much and a man is in jail for this, a man also with children and a loving family like Gabi. Mike was a good guy who did some stupid stuff, this time that stupid stuff took a BEAUTIFUL woman's life, for her family and her children, she would have NEVER chosen to leave but God wanted her. Rest peacefully Gabi and be an angel to your children.

I would hate to think that something could have brought Mike to this point. I grew up with him and never would I have thought he could be 'that guy', I still don't. But things happen in life and people change drastically and a lot of the people I grew up with are not the same people they once were. I did not know the woman and I'm sorry for her and her family and kids but I do hope that something comes out of this and that Mike is not guilty of this horrible crime.

Wether the truth ever comes out or not the only one who can judge Mike is God. Gaby is with the lord she is not in pain. Its the family and her kids who are hurting and we should be praying for all of them and quit pointing fingers. We are human yes we are confused and we dont know why this happened. Its sad in everyway for both families and all of the friends alot of them like me who knew both Mike and Gaby very well. We just need to pray for all the pain and suffering felt by all involved and who are grieving.
