These people have lost all sense of purpose. It's not enough they refuse to make the tough choices to balance the budget, they now come up with even more ways to waste taxpayer time and money. Time to cull these fools from the herd.

Tarryl ... Maybe you should be finding ways to cut spending and bring the budget for the state under control and stop wasting effort with BS legislation such as this. If the state isn't paying for the movie, it isn't any business of yours.

So after all of these years the State of Minnesota has been paying hotel receipts from state employees with porn/regular movies on them? My private company pays only for the hotel/motel cost, no movies, no wet bar expense, no extra's, etc. You would have thought these movie hotel charges would have been flagged years ago. I guess their state managers bought the excuse "they were disney movies".

THIS IS THE SAME LEGISLATURE THAT USED TO DO RETREATS OUT OF STATE IN THE SOUTHWEST, LIKE ARIZONA! I REMEMBER KSTP CATCHING ONE GUY AT A PORN THEATRE DURING THE DAY AND YES, HE WAS A LEGISLATURE!

A better headline would, "Bill would ban MN workers from hotels filled with Progressives and Liberals."

They should also ban hotels that have TVs that show Faux News. That does a lot more damage than porn so it might do some good.

A part of me thinks however these bills that are a complete waste of time is just what the public wants to see out of fledgling democrats. This is the type of thing that is going to get you buried in October.
Yes..don't raise my taxes!!

I don't want big government either. I don't want government telling corporate America to stop ripping me off and bankrupting my retirement plan!

It's all about freedom! Let the CEO's be free to take my retirement and apply it to their bonus for losing money next year!

Stupid socialists!

Seriously? Isn't there a budget crisis to solve or something? As long as they aren't buying porn with tax dollars I don't give a crap what they do during their off hours. This is just DUMB.
Nope...they have to appease the American-Taliban-wannabes (aka "Evangelicals")! Things like jobs, crime, budget, deficit, etc. are of little importance to such things as (gasp!) watching a PORN MOVIE!

"Bill would ban Minnesota workers from hotels with TV porn"

Why not just Ban porn of all kinds in Minnesota?

Or would the Porn Mafia at the Supreme Court, The White House and the Congress then get angry?
