I-35E to close at 8 p.m. for the weekend

the project started friday night at 8 pm. i know this because i sat in a traffic back up on 35E starting at highway 36. the cones were in place starting way before the 94 intersection. funneling traffic down to one lane. no crews were in sight or equipment. why do the cones go up so soon before actual work begins?

Minnesota DOT needs to get a clue. They shut down 35E ramp to 494 east, and Lone Oak is closed east of 55. The light has not been re-set off the Hwy 110 ramp, so about 6 cars a green get through going east, so cars stack up onto 35E. You can't get there from here.

Over the HWY 52 bridge? Not on your life. That's a death trap. Guess I'll be getting to Eagan via backroads this weekend.
