Joe Soucheray: What will be left in St. Paul for the trains to take us to?
A number of possibly otherwise civil correspondents took me to task days ago for incorporating into a piece about the demise of Macy's a jab at light rail.

I love trains. I take them whenever I can to get somewhere. The thing that is interesting about trains is that they take you through some of the most trashy and devastated areas of our country. Light Rail which runs on Heavy rail will be no different. By the time they get this albatross running, all the productive and useful businesses along University and Washington will be long gone. Leaving the ride to show the passengers the most trashy and devastated areas of Minneapolis and St Paul.
