Anything that helps stem the tide of drunk drivers in this state is welcome.

How much tax money is this little gig gonna cost? hell, we laready know we have the highest drunk driver rate in the nation, highest uninsured, etc.! Get these creeps off the streets, impiund and sell the uninured/unregistered, and start putting these jerks in the slammer for a long and FULL sentence!
Billboard? My butt! |

I agree, I like the James and Ernie billboards, that care about natives, or anyone for that matter, when it comes to drinking and driving. However I'm not to sure about the shining a light on your skin that determines whether a prison is driving while intoxicated. I feel that any device that gathers information about you, without your consent, in a criminal proceeding, is a violation of a person's rights. Should the crime not involve serious bodily harm or more, than I feel that the suspect in question has a right to say whether or not he will consent to any test that determines whether he is intoxicated. Why not just 'force' people to take breathalyzers or blood samples?

^^^strictly speaking about drinking and driving.

My friends, I strongly encourage police officers to use whatever force is required to make drunk drivers or those suspected of drunk driving use a breathalizer or blood test...you drink you drive you go to jail. I also support confiscating the vehicle on the first offense, selling it at auction and donating the money to local charities. I'm John Mccain..and I approved this message.

The government cannot seize property without DUE PROCESS. John Mccain would not support a police state. |

How about enforcing the laws we have? A friend of mine has still not gone to trial over a DUI that he was charged with, last november.

Dear Gov. Hugo:
Please have your DWI Madam Czar learn and understand the judicial system so we can enforce the current laws and really make a difference! Signed, Gimmie A Milk! |

How about a replace the Governor and Judges initiative? No more initiatives, just hang the drunken drivers for crying out loud.
