Hey Bill, how about start with actually prosecuting these people still driving around after multiple DWI arrests? How about real sentences and enforcement? Thats a start!

Funny. None of these lawmakers care about the laws when it comes to themselves. I have personally served 2 well know government officials and almost lost my job because I wouldn't give them a cocktail in a lidded cup. Screw that! I'm not gonna give you an open contianer. That's a law I agree with and they endorse. I know alcoholics, my family's full of them.

This is so typical of politicians. It's fine for the law makers to break the laws they make. But it's not okay for a person to have a drink with dinner and drive?!?! Absurd! I had a friend get charged for DUI after having 1 cocktail after work and driving. There was a slight crack in her taillight, which was the "official" reason she was pulled over but exuded no symptoms of intoxication. She blew a .07. That's not a drunk.

So shouldn't they be taking some of the $5,000,000 + the state makes of DUI in bernalillo county alone *every year* and put it to some good use, such as providing an alternate mode of transportation so that people can be entertained, have a drink, and get home safely? Oh but that won't put any more money in their pockets. Grrrr. Let's take the problem and create a *solution*.

Prohibition isn't the answer either.
