Navajo Nation leaders squabble over word 'leader'

As a citizen of Dinetah, this issue seems irrelevant as long as the work gets done. It seems the white man that speaks for the Navajo president is trying to cause a tiff and get his boss back in the news. I'd suggest actually doing positive work for the nation rather than squabbling in the press for a change.

I expect to see some council members wearing t-shirts with "Number 1 Leader" and "World's Greatest Leader" at the next council session.

the navajo nation is in dire need of a true leader. the individuals in window rock and all those that have seats in tribal offices all across the navajo nation need to undergo proper leadership training. in addition, training in areas of management, group work, conflict resolution, and ethics would propel "the people" into becoming the epitome of self-sufficiency...truly becoming a nation of soveriegnty. until these styles are adapted and practiced, we will not completely understand what leadership is. leading entails creating respect and trust as these concepts are an intergral part of being a "nataani" (Dine word for leader). as i see it, the electees and appointees of the navajo nation government are moths leading the people to the fire.....
