Gallup has only 1 Bataan Death March survivor left

As a group, they probably suffered more than any other unit of soldiers who fought in World War II.

Thank you for the write up of my Dad. He turned 87 on the 23rd of February. I hope Rep. Udall is successful soon or Galup will left with no survivors. My Father was very close to Mr Rollie and the other survivors that called Gallup home.

I knew one Bataan Death March surviver, his name was Harry. The last name is lost to me, he was a kind and gentle man. He lived in Trinity County CA when I met him, he had a wife named Tex. They later retired to Oregon, this was the last time I ever saw them, this was about 33 years ago. I'm pretty sure they are long gone by now, but I was honored to spend time with them, may they rest in peace.
