I am new in town and was wondering who are the best local bands in town. I like country mostly but enjoy rock as well. Thanks for your help.

i agree. Used to go see em all on a reg at headliners and petrus. Miss those days. Incursion with the duel screamers and false with Shannon on bass and vocals. Great days and great bands. Won't hear anything like them in a long time. They were by far the best.

I miss the good ole days back in the late 90's and the early 2000's when INTAK, Flaw, eFlat, Evil Engine #9, Aqua Jones, Rampant, and others made Louisville the best local scene around.

gotta say. I just DL the last flaw cd. Home grown sessions. And they aren't the same at all. Chris volz sounds real corse. Not one hard song either. Nothing like amendment or endangered species. Sad man. That was one of my favs but they are very diff now. I wouldn't buy it. Check out on YouTube. Flaw-homegrown sessions. One good slow song is somebody's victim.

I saw on FB this week where some of these bands are re-uniting to revive atired local scene. FLAW is recording again with the original Through The Eyes lineup, INTĀK is back together after 10 years for a new cd , Incursion 502 is recording under a new name but I cant think of it right this second.
