How many kids do you SSPX people intend to have?

As many as God wants us to have!

We enjoy having the gift of children. We don't want to kill them or prevent them from being born!

And what is MDS?!

In answer to your stupidity, Breeder, it is a
condition whereby a mother gets pregnant over
and over and over, without letting her body regain
the strength and health and return to normalcy
upon completion of a pregnancy. Being pregnant
takes a lot of calcium and nutrients as well as
a toll on a mother. Look it up!! Having all those
babies does not give a mother time to give individ-
ual care to her other children, either. Think about
it!!!

Thank you, Just Curious, I actually have heard of that before, I am just not good with terminolgy sometimes.

No one said to not think about it, or not to be prudent when having children. It is a mother's responsibility to take care of her health, so she can take care of herself and her children.

Bottom line is, as Catholics, we are open to the gift of life, and open to God's Will and Plan. God knows how much we can handle and gives us the necessary grace to do so.

The mentality of having as many children as God gives you does not shock me from the SSPX at all. They basically say that's all a women is on this earth for. I personally do not agree with contraception, but I do believe it's the opposite extreme to have more children than you can handle or afford. Please don't tell me God expects us to drive ourselves to the poor house by having more children than we (or the taxpayers!) can afford.

Breeder I think your talking to two non-catholic ignorant people. Little miss theresa is just mad she got expelled and never got what sspx stands for...should have paid more attention in religion class. I went to boarding school at st. marys, sounds like I must have just missed you...too bad j/k oh and I was never brainwashed...and by myself I started my own business..doing very well thank you, see I didn't just go off and have as many kids as possible. Many are called few are chosen did you ever remember that one

Grumpy- Your tone of superiority and lack of charity gives you away as one who really did pay attention to what the SSPX is all about.

It is good to hear you have your own business, but it really is neither here nor there in response to my opinion on birth control. Maybe you just felt you needed to give yourself props or something.

Our experiences at St. Mary's were obviously very different. They want a certain type of person there, and I simply didn't fit into that mold. I chose to leave on my own. I guess your quote is apt then...many are called but few are chosen. Although I highly doubt that the SSPX are the 'chosen' ones, and all of us Catholic loyal to the pope are actaully in error. I know this might sound foreign to you, but I ask you to recall another quote: "Outside the Church there is no salvation".

Oh and BTW...just as a general comment that is not directed at you in particular, brainwashed people usually don't know they are!

One of the parish priests here said in a sermon recently that we are supposed to use our intellects and if we really and truly can't afford to have children due to financial or health reasons, then to practice abstinence.

I've never heard the SSPX priests downgrade women, and they do expect from the husbands to treat their wives with the upmost dignity they deserve and aid them in their various needs.

Another thing about the taxpayers! Really, I don't know where people get the impression that some SSPX people are on welfare or leaving the burden on other taxpayers.

I don't know of any families here on welfare.

Comments to Breeder. All you have to do is look
around this town to see a lot of things. You
evidently have a bunch of children, which is fine.
But, why let someone else tell you how many to have? We did just fine here before the Academy
showed up and we will continue to do fine. We had
small families, belonged to the Church and we did
great. We were able to send our kids to KSU and
be grateful for it. I want to ask how you intend to pay for education of all these kids that you
"Breed"?

Actually, at this moment, I only have one child. If God choses to bless me with 1 more, or 4 more, or 10 more, so be it. I look at my child and am grateful for the every day joys he brings into our lives. I can't stand the thought of such a life being killed or prevented from entering into this world. What a gift!
Why should I let people tell me how many I shouldn't have? I realize that in this day and age, people are not used to the idea of large families. Things like dual income families and certain ways of living make people think that they can only afford 1.5 children.
If you mean college education, we can help our children to the best of our financial abilities. But is there something wrong with children paying/ working for their own college education? I think that is one way that they will help grow and value their education more. How many children "party" away their college years, not thinking about they money it costs their parents? When kids have to pay for their own item of desire out of their allowance or pocket change, they think about it more whether or not they really want or need that item, instead of just thinking it will just be given to them.
It will teach them responsibility and discipline and help them to focus more on their studies. If they have to work, then hopefully they can balance both work and studies. Maybe work for a while, save, then go to college. Many have done so and are doing so.
