Maybe we need a dog-owning license.

This afternoon, I was taking C.J. for his daily walk.

As I was approaching this one active duty Navy house, I noticed several vehicles parked on or near the property. This is an every weekend occurrence.

I noticed that one guy in the crowd in the driveway
seemed particularly interested in our approach. Of course, C.J. was wiggling all over with excitement because there were some young children he hoped to go see.

What I could not see, hidden among the cars and people, were two boxers, a full grown bitch and her nearly grown pup, both unleashed. As soon as the bitch spotted C.J., she immediately attacked
him, biting the back of his neck. Had I not yelled and swatted her, she would have injured C.J.

Now, can you guess which member of the boozes up group owned the two illegally un-leashed dogs?

Bingo! The same son-of-a-bitch who watched with curious intensity as we approached. He only called the dog off of C.J. AFTER it had attacked, then had the audacity to give me the stink eye for yelling, "Get out of here, you son-of a bitch!' while swatting at his vicious dog.

As C.J. and I were leaving, the dog made a second run at C.J., but he was prepared that time and turned and faced the boxer with teeth bared and made her think better of it.

Once more, the lout called his dog back.

Now, was there any thing even remotely resembling an apology from that son-of-a-bitch? Of course not.

That is the second time we've been attacked by boxers in this neighborhood. The first time, the damned dog bit me trying to get at C.J.

Another sorry ass in the neighborhood has two vicious dogs. They have attacked us once we he let them out without their electronic dog fence collars. I think the sorry son-of-a-bitch was running a "test to see if they had become so conditioned to the shocks that they would avoid the line without the collars. We were the test subjects.

Today tears it. I've never done it before, but hence forward, I'll be calling animal control on these damned, irresponsible - if not downright sociopathic - louts who fail to control their animals.

Will I shoot an approaching pit bull? What do you think?

Sounds like doggy play time to me. If that boxer wanted to snap little cj's neck that would not have been a problem even while you are sitting there screaming like a little girly guy.
