The State is cutting their money. Kingsland wants them to give up the tax money for a TAD. Oh, what will the school board do ?

If they give up the TAD tax money and turn around and want more money from the property tax payers the shit is going to hit the fan.

Maybe they will cut back on the number of do nothing staff at the county office who are being paid 6 figure salaries. Just maybe they will stop wasting tax payer money on non essentials to education.

The number of "Administers" in this county school system is insane.

Administers make the cuts.

Goodby more teachers and para-professionals.
Yes with more teachers

I am for putting up a State of Georgia on line school. From 1st grade on through high school. All that want to learn will have that option and cut down on the number of teachers needed for the schools. Give parents that have children using the on line school open for school activities allowing them all the benefits as if they were in a class room.

North Carolina is using this type of schooling. I understand that Hawaii is also using on line schools.

Kingsland is going to kick and scream when the school board tells them "NO" to TAD.

I hope that bunch of thugs over in Kingsland does not get away with this TAD operation. This is really bad for Camden.

North Carolina Virtual Public School go in and look around see where the education system is heading. I think it is a wonderful idea and will allow students to avoid the traps that they are exposed to in the Public Schools today.

We don't need to spend no stinkin money on virtual schools. You pay no taxes so why should others pay for your pot stirring ideas?

that this is simply a fundamentalist nut case - probably a Tea Partier, if not a Spencer - trying to get back door public funding for home schooling their little nut-cases-in-training.

Would not agree that fewer students in the school translates into less cash outlay in public schools. Virtual schools do this my friend.

Security for students, ability to take classes not offered in local high school, time flexibility for working students, Parents traveling allows students to go along, there are many reasons for online schools.

Biggest reason, The School Board could Ok that TAD for Kingsland. That's a good one wouldn't you say ?

If they Ok the TAD that means they won't be coming back to the tax payer for additional money for their heavy top assistants helping out the principles while they are off playing golf.

I still don't understand why we can't have a principle over say four elementary schools using the four assistant principles to cover while he travels from one school to another. Saving cut the principle salaries a year out saving the tax payer 450,000.00 + dollars a year.

Now extrapolate that out to all the schools in the county could be in the $ millions of dollars. Just in one County of Georgia we have 159 counties in Georgia. I think that the Virtual School would provide needed relieve to the tax pay that happens to own property.

Whenever there is competition in the market place, the public gets better products and lower prices.

Perhaps we need to institute some competition into the education system. I am a firm believer in a publicly FUNDED education. I am not adverse to but see no reason why that education should be delivered by PUBLIC EMPLOYEES.

Attach all funding, via a voucher system, to the student. Where they go to school, the money is paid. Create objective, performance based requirements for ALL schools and scrap ALL or the other regulations.

Parents may now send their children to a public school, if they prefer, or a private one if they think it would provide a better education for their children. Of course the parents would have to pay any additional costs out of their own pockets.

The schools would have the same $ per student. They will have fewer of them. Job openings will appear for teachers unhappy with their current situation.

The big losers in this system would be the Teachers unions and the Democrat Party. Other than that, it's a win, win, win.
