Spraying St.Marys for what?

This afternoon, there was an "AgCat" type of spray plae flying a low (just above treetop) pattern over St. Marys and spraying.

I'm assuming it was for mosquitoes.

Anyone know if we've had any recent confirmed cases of West Nile Virus?

If so, why no public notice?

Anyone know who ordered the spraying? Funding?

Not against it, just curious.

Are you sure of that? I saw them spraying BETWEEN my house (directly behind Brant Creek Apartments) and the airport. The pattern I saw would hardly have been over Rayonnier trees.

Just spoke to Jeff Stanford.
Rayonnier has 50 tons of fetilizer in 4 trailers at the airport.
The planes (2) are the Bombardier answer to an Ag Cat.
They are spreading fertilizer over pine seedlings over their seedling arm which Jeff thinks is down around Yulee somewhere.
Of course, now we will hear that the survival of the pine tree depends upon the airport staying where it is.

You know, if my ashes are pulverized to a fine powder, they can be made into a slurry with the addition of water. Enough slurry to fill a crop duster tank would faciltate coverage of the entire historic area.
