Republicans - The Party of Stupid.

I think this label "Republicans - The Party of Stupid - has a nice ring and definite staying power! Thanks little Bobby.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal called on the Republican Party to stop being the stupid party on Thursday as GOP leaders promised fundamental changes to help stave off future losses.
In the keynote address at the Republican National Committees winter meeting, Jindal said the GOP doesnt need to change its values but might need to change just about everything else we are doing.
Weve got to stop being the stupid party. Its time for a new Republican Party that talks like adults, he said.We had a number of Republicans damage the brand this year with offensive and bizarre comments. Im here to say weve had enough of that.
Jindal, thought to be a potential 2016 presidential contender, offered little detail in the 25-minute address. He called on conservatives to shift their focus from Capitol Hill number crunching to the place where conservatism thrives in the real world beyond the Washington Beltway.
And despite all, Republicans still don't get it. It's not the Republican message delivery that sucks, it's the Republican message itself.

Forget about fiscal conservatism and smaller government. It's all about vagina control. The republican party must first and formost be about vagina control.
Big goverment - OK
Increase taxes _ OK
Less freedom - OK
Gun Control - OK
But women's vagina's must be control by republican docrtine. It will always be part of our platform. Social conservatism is all that matters.

Well, if it looks like a turd and smells like a turd, best avoid touching it. Same can be said of the Republican Party. After 8 years of Bush-Cheney and 6 years of Mitt, we all know what disasters they'll deliver.

HUH! 8 years of Bush/Cheney! Do I need to repost the post with the real truth? I have it on speed dial.
Bush/Cheney had a democrap controlled house and senate the last 2 years of their administration. When did our economy collapse? After the commie/socialist/democraps took control over both houses of congress and the presidency.
Repeating a lie over and over again will never make it the truth. That method is normally used to indoctrinate the stupid and ill informed!
Also, please explain the "6 years of Mitt."

Careful there, Redneck. You don't want to add evidence to Gov. Jindal's remarks about the GOP. Not sure where you get your news (probably Fox), but the economic crash came in September 2008, four months before the end of Pres. Bush's eight-year term in the White House. During his 8 years in office, the GOP controlled both the House and Senate from 2000-2002, the House from 2002-04, and both the House & Senate again in 2004-06. Factors that led to the crash of Sept 2008 are very complex had been brewing for years. Probably both parties have their share of responsibility, but Republicans certainly bear a good part of it. What is clear is that the economy *didn't* collapse entirely, thanks in large part to Pres. Obama's actions once he came into office. Here's an article from Business Insider, which is far from a liberal publication: http://www.businessinsider.com/charts-that-sh...

Beatitudo, here is my past post concerning control of the house and senate and the resulting crash of our economy. Read it and weep!
"The day the democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009, it was actually January 3rd 2007 the day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, at the very start of the 110th Congress.
The Democrat Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995.
For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is "Bush's Fault", think about this:
January 3rd, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress. At the time:
The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77
The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%
The Unemployment rate was 4.6%
George Bush's Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB GROWTH
Remember the day...
January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee.
The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy?
BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!
Unemployment... to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOES!
Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie - starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy.
And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac? OBAMA
And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie?
OBAMA and the Democrat Congress
So when someone tries to blame Bush...
REMEMBER JANUARY 3rd, 2007.... THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!"
Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for 2008 & 2009 as well as 2010 & 2011.
In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases.
For 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the 2009 budgets.
And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete 2009.
If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets.
If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself. In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is I inherited a deficit that I voted for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th."
Beatitudo - I'll come back later to check out your words of wisdom?

No matter how you cut it or explain it, Bush was Pres. and Cheney was VP for 8 years. In the fall of 1988, while Bush was still president, the country suffered what may have been our worst economic disaster. Obama took over with the economy in the tanks. Since he became president, the economy has turned around and started back up. Those are just the facts.
I don't know about 6 years of Mitt. Thankfully, we escaped that.
