Yes, indeed I do. Imagine the havoc an armed madman could bring to a crowded public pool where absolutely no one is armed. I'm kind of surprised one has not been hit already.
It was an IQ question. If you are in the pool, where is your guns? If your under anesthesia or operating...? And are you sure you want to fire your .45 on and air plane?

Everyone else noticed the absurdity of my post but you in response to yours. If you can't contribute anything constructive to the discussion. Please move on.

The image of Jay in his Speedo with his gun strapped around his massive girth...now that's public obscenity. What a frightened and paranoid person you'd have to be to need to carry at a public pool, out for morning coffee, in a grocery store etc.

Actually, I've spent hundreds of hours in an operating room with my locked and loaded .45 in arms reach on a Mayo stand.

That old movie bullshit about being sucked out of a depressurizing bullet hole is just that.

Yes, I would love to blow a terrorist's brains out on an airplane.
Ask the passengers on Flight 93. Oh, that's right, they are all in a deep hole in Pennsylvania.

There is absolutely no reason for someone to open carry--- unless u are in such a bad hood u want to keep them at a distance.
A place of business denying open carry is a economic decision since some people are put off by none police personnel carrying a gun as I am and I have carried for years and for work.
what the "machos" fail to understand is that someone could take that gun away before u even know what is happening and stcik it up ur arse.

One more thing----- it is a very serious business shooting an assailant or sticking the gun in their ear---- it is not a pleasant experience.

Anyone who brags what they would do has never been there..........

If you are going out take along a gun you may need it over the next few days unless they give up the Mexican to keep the trouble down. It is only one Mexican we have 11 million more where this one came from. I say let the mob have him drag his body through the streets after they hang him. Maybe some of the illegals will want to go back to Mexico. It may take four or five to send the message home that we are not going to allow them to take over America.

I have been to the decision point. Many questions need to be answered long before you make the decision. One most important one is not to pull your weapon unless you are sure it is needed for you self protection. Adrenalin will certainly be with you so have the answers already because your day is going to become miserable. Maybe your life.

Okay.

In July, 1969, I was a HM2 and the senior corpsman for FLSG-Bravo at Dong Ha combat base.

One evening, on the day that Nixon began significant troop withdrawals, I was sitting atop my medical bunker with my other corpsman, HM2 Dave Campbell, and a Marine friend, Sgt. Sweet.

On the west side of the perimeter, from our perch maybe 15 feet off the ground, we could s long line of grunts coming into the base camp from the boonies in response to the draw down. When we first saw them, they looked like a line of ants.

When they got closer, we could see that the first two Marines were carry 6 foot staffs with human skulls bobbling around on top. They were a very rough, gaunt-looking lot.

To be continued.

It's a good thing Jay was unarmed else Misty might have had to take his gun away and shoot him in self defense.

If their was a great threat that someone would take your firearm, police would not open carry.

Complete nonsense and that is being nice.

Patrol officers have "high retention" holsters to keep the guns from being taken and it requires a lot of training to effectively use.

Actually you are completely wrong. Many departments have different requirements for holsters. Not only that, I can purchase and use the exact same holster that any of them use for open carry. I know of many civilians including myself that have more small arms training then some if not most police officers. Not counting the yearly military requirements on small arms training. This is just being nice.

DOD and DHS uniformed officer are required to have, at a minimum, double retention holsters.

I agree. Most uniformed officers do use a level 2 retention holster. One retention is just friction. The second is normally some type of button to release the pistol that can be pushed with the index finger or even a snap to undo. Not very difficult to use when open carrying. The level 2 is what I prefer between levels 1 and 3.

Thank you for proving my point and disproving your previous statement( police would not open carry if it were so dangerous).

"All" Dept. require high retntion holsters because it is dangerous to "open carry" .And, officers often get killed by thir own guns but the stats. have gone down do to better equip and training.
I guess u have not purchased a high retention holster for yourself. Hmmm.

I doubt there are "Many" civilians w/ more training than the police.

The average citizen has no business displaying a weapon because it serves no purpose other than advertising ones feelings of ..........

Oh look I am carrying a gun I be baaaaaaaaaaaaad.

I carry concealed after 25yrs of uinform law enforcement.
