Listen up folks, it's time to reign in the "guns everywhere" insanity in our nation. The 2nd Amendment permits citizens to own weapons, but NOT every type of weapon on the planet. Thousands marched in DC today supporting intelligent, modern day gun safety laws and regulations. The President has issued some Executive Orders; Congress has more than one Bill floating around. Get on board in supporting politicians who will have the courage to do what's right for our county and vote in favor of strengthening our gun safety laws.

Here are SOME of January 25th shootings and gun deaths in our great country from just one day - and this happens each and every day - what a senselessness waste:

Dayton, Ohio -- A 34-year-old man fatally shot his 32-year-old ex-girlfriend and a 29-year -old man at an apartment early Thursday. The woman’s 10-year-old son saw the shooting and ran to a neighbor’s house to call 911. The suspect was later arrested.

Camden, N.J.-- An 11-year-old girl was shot in the face by her 27-year-old father in her home about 9:30 p.m. yesterday. The father then tried to shoot a 28-year-old man who was also in the house, but the gun jammed. The man managed to get the gun and fire it at the father, hitting him in the buttocks.

Monitor Township, Mich.-- A 51-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman were found shot to death inside a home about 3:45 p.m. The two were engaged to be married.

Denver, Col.-- Police called to an apartment complex about 5:50 a.m. yesterday found a woman shot dead and a man with multiple stab-wounds. The man is in a local hospital.

Washington, D.C.-- An 18-year-old woman was found fatally shot in the head around 3:30 a.m. today. She was lying on the sidewalk in front of a bus stop.

Akron, Ohio -- A 59-year-old woman driving her car was shot in the shoulder. The incident happened after she came upon two men walking in a street and she flashed her headlights at them as a warning she was coming. The men moved to the side of the street but, as she drove past, one of them shot at her several times.

Oakland, Calif.-- A gunman opened fire on a man pumping gas at a service station about 11 a.m. today, missing the man but hitting his car and a city bus a block away, showering the passengers with broken glass. A woman pumping gas at the time also had her car hit.

Miami, Fla.-- A mother of two was shot in the face during a robbery outside a restaurant about 5:30 p.m. yesterday. A 20-year-old man has been arrested. The woman said the suspect approached at gunpoint and demanded her purse. When she handed it over, the suspect shot her and fled on foot. The woman is in stable condition.

Miami Gardens, Fla.-- A 26-year-old man was shot in the shoulder while sitting on bench waiting for a bus about 8:15 p.m. yesterday. He was in stable condition.

Trenton, N.J.-- Shots were fired and a man was hit in the arm in front of a convenience store about 1 p.m. today. The man was gone when police arrived. They will be checking local hospitals.

St. Paul, Minn.-- A 51-year-old man threatened his 15-year-old daughter by pointing an AK-47 rifle at her because the girl’s school report-card included two B's rather than straight A's. He also pointed the gun at his wife during the incident, which occurred January 17, but has just come to light. The father said the gun wasn't loaded and he had checked the chamber beforehand.

Salt Lake City, Utah -- No one was injured when a guard for a private security firm accidentally discharged his weapon about noon Sunday while working at the main public library downtown. The gun went off when the guard was in a first-floor security office and before the library was opened to the public. The bullet went through two walls and embedded in a third.

Kansas City, Mo.-- A 93-year-old man shot and killed and his 95-year-old wife before attempting unsuccessfully to take his own life with a knife about 7 a.m. yesterday. They had been arguing.

The funny part of this is that I bet if the proposed ban was in effect, it would not of changed a thing. Do not see a single thing stating an assault rifle being fired. The one with an AK47 as a threat could have easily been a bolt action rifle or handgun. This post is meaningless. Think about it...

Ohh, on average there are over 117 automobile deaths in the United States everyday. There are over 277 alcohol related deaths (average) everyday in the US Lets ban them also.

I guess people will quit stabbing or beating others to death once "assault weapons" are banned.

Thank you for that litany of reasons why those sane, honest, law abiding citizens who are not yet
within two steps of a weapon in their homes and carrying outside the home should be.

I hope you will continue this daily compilation to get more guns into the hands of those who need them.

Thank you and carry on.

Times are changing dude. Less than 5% of the population hunts. And I don't want my neighbor in possession of a military style assault weapon that when he screws up will take the life of one of my family. The guys right about the 2nd not affording the "right" to own any and all guns. That's a ridiculous premise. We already live under some gun restrictions, we just need to add to those. And nobody except the NRA wingnuts are saying anything about taking all guns away. That won't fly and nobody is trying to do that.

Isn't it funny that the areas with the strictest anti-gun laws have the highest levels of gun and other crime.

John Lott got it exactly right with the title of his book, "More Guns, Less Crime".

Violent crime shrunk everywhere in the United States when the AWB expired, except those places where they kept the ban.

[QUOTE But I still think that there should be some for of gun legislation.[/QUOTE]

Should it include things like missile launchers? Believe it or not, some gun nuts here don't think so. Check out the below article from a successful Seattle gun buyback. And all you gun nuts note the paragraph saying, "While there were private gun buyers at the periphery of Saturday's event, Metz said a large majority of people chose to wait in line and get less money because they wanted to make sure they got the weapons off the streets." Good for them! That's what most sane Americans want.

This guy - GLIB SOCIOPATH - posts on this board! He's easy to spot. Just read a few postings and the nut will pop up.
