The double length parking spaces in front of the Park were added for boats and trailers not for tourists parking. Tourist parking was made avaiable directly across the steet from the ramp which used to be boat parking. Tax payers Double screwed.

For the most part, that is correct, but only marginally less than the amounbt spent by the Birkenstock weraing, nuts-and-berries- eating, Vanagon driving, Green Eco Weenies who come with their own granola to camp on the island.

Wrong again, Moreno. A National Park Service (NPS) report shows that 91,996 visitors to both the Cumberland Island National Seashore mainland and island visitor facilities in 2010 spent just over $6.1 million dollars in the local area including St Marys, Kingsland and Camden County. That spending supported 97 jobs in the local area. The amount has only increased since then.

Yeah, and $6 million of that was spent within 1,000 yards of Exit 3.

You got your facts wrong 97 jobs 6.1 mil that would be 100 jobs making over 610,000 per job.
Now let me explain the NPS ask what money did they spend over their trip. does not ask how much in city or county
then take that 91.996 visitors multipy that by 17.50 for the boat ride over there.that would be 1.7 million going to MR.LANG.

It will not matter nothing left open down there anyway. Bill DeLoughy has seen to that. You could put go carts down there no one would care. Downtown has had it. St. Marys is in a depression.

Question is whether or not the jobs will come once the Tech college is built ?
