According to the article, an average of one person per week is killed on the tracks of the New York Subway.

Is the subway worth all of these wasted human lives?

The subway is not even protected by the Constitution. Let's get rid of it.

Alternatively, ban those automatic trains and replace them with cars that must be pedaled by the passengers themselves. Moreover, they would have to be equipped with large, Nerf, people catchers on the front.

Happy new year Bubba. Logic? OK, let's use logic. At Newtown, CT, someone stole a gun, took it to an elementary school, and murdered 20 children and 6 adults. When was the last instance when a subway track was stolen, taken to a school, and purposely used to murder anyone? Guns are stolen and are used in tragic crimes.

This is a serious problem and most of, me included, have no idea of the solution. We may very likely see some knee-jerk gun control law(s) passed but, in my opinion, they will not resolve the problem. I could live with a ban on "assault weapons" but my biggest fear is that the silly politicians will pass the ban and then take their eye off the problem until it happens again.

Happy new your to you too sir...
It IS a serious problem BUT knowing politicians, they will screw things up.
I also could live easily with a ban on assault weapons. I morn those children..I really do.
But,hopefully any legistation will make logical sense.
Sorry about the spelling but visiting the grandkids have made me shake and am half deaf..

I love the grandkids but the best thing is that you can give them back to their parents before they drive you completely nuts.

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Cancer

The question of who and what you should believe is never far away today. Someone could easily mislead you, although it's a moot point whether they do this intentionally or not. Or there could be a communication glitch that means no one knows what's going on. Be very careful when handling money because there could be lots of silly mistakes, and if you're really unlucky there might also be some double-dealing too.
