I'm surprised the budding playwright G. Brandon has not hipped Cecil and Delta on how to get Uncle Sam to put a green, solar, heating and cooling system in with a heavy taxpayer subsidy.

You know all about HEAVY TAXPAYER SUBSIDIES don't you, Mr. Moreno? You are a living HEAVY recipient of TAXPAYER SUBSIDY. Pathetic.

1. It's not a "private club" it's a community theater.
2. Taxpayers haven't paid a cent. The property is privately owned and everything is done through contributions and volunteer effort.
3. You people need to worry more about what's important and not about things like a local little theater organization.
4. Every performance for every production has been sold out.

Chipsters right on. Get a grip, people. Most places have community theaters run by volunteers. Don't you have better thing to complain about? I've been to a couple of the shows there. Some great, some so-so. It used to be a derelict eyesore and now its a theater so what the hell is your problem?

There is no proposal for the city taxpayers to pay for this AC. Barbara Ryan is campaigning to get 23 local businesses to pay $1000 each. The AC will be installed in the old Gilman Railroad building now owned by Doug Vaught. Last I heard, only 2 or 3 businesses had volunteered. I think it will be hard to get many to ante up $1000 to buy Vaught an AC in this economy.

I have a hard enough time keeping my own business afloat. Why would I want to buy an air conditioner for Doug Vaught?
