Here are just SOME of the senseless gun shootings and deaths from the last 8 days. I don't have time to list them all (around 8-10 pages I guess). Maybe next week.

These killings and shootings go on endlessly. And as more and more guns are sold, guess what? More and more shootings and deaths occur.

There is a bit of good gun safety news legislation from the week. Talk goes on in the Congress, although too slowly, and a case is working it's way through the Washington State courts that holds a gun owner liable for failing to properly secure their weapon which after being stolen was used in a crime. Locking your front door is NOT considered properly securing a weapon for all you wantbe lawyers.

Remember to support politicians that vow to strengthen our nation's gun safety laws. Don't listen to Republicans and the NRA, more guns is NEVER the answer. This madness must stop. The time to start is now. Help out, get involved!

Duh: Do you actually believe there are many others like you on the planet that equate a weapon with say, spoons, plates, pools, cars, buses, trains, etc.? Well, not to interfere with your alternative reality universe, but no, there are not. That's a ridiculous, or stupid if you prefer, analogy. Grow up.

Coocoovet, did research on one of your gun deaths. Here is Charlotte Observer article:

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are searching for suspects who shot a 20-year-old woman while she was sitting in her car in her driveway.

The shooting happened around 10:20 p.m. Thursday in a southeast Charlotte neighborhood off Monroe Road.

The victim was sitting in her car with another 25-year-old woman in front of a residence in the 2440 block of Knickerbocker Drive when a dark-colored sedan drove by slowly.

Someone inside the sedan fired shots at the car and the house, striking the victim at least once in the back. She was taken by Medic to Carolinas Medical Center but is expected to survive.

Three women, ages 31, 28 and 21, were in the house at the time of the shooting but were not injured. All of the women except for the victim were listed on a police report as being under the influence of drugs.

The victim’s car, 2011 Red Honda Civic, sustained $1,500 worth of damage according to a police report."

Better description of the area would be intersection of S. Tyron, N. Tryon and Independence Blvd which is listed as a high crime area.

As Paul Harvey used to say, now you know the rest of the story!

another really bad one here i guess will read about next week from vet involving another "responsible" "law-abiding" gun owner letting a 3-year shoot himself in the head. damn shame all these guns being around all these kids getting shot. damn shame so many adults scare so easy they got to have a gun 24 7. kids don't stand much chance against guns.

Guns and church go together like beer and whiskey. Can't have one without the other.

Sorry, but that's a big myth. Many, many more die at the end of a barrel intentionally and unintentionally than are saved by "good guys with guns." Just considerate it as mythical as finding a "compassionate Republican."

You sir, are a loony. Guns and church will never go together. Church is designed to save lives, guns are designed to take lives. Please stay out of my church with any guns.
