Camden County is the site of a major investigation into allegations of abuse of children that ranks up there at the top of child abuse. The really sad part is that the law is the victim has to come forward within 7 years of reaching the age of 18. That can be verified on the internet. The number of those sexually molested is staggering. And the frustration of those investigating and the victims has to be tremendous. Hopefully parents will come forward and make the complaints to the authorities. Also, realize that those who have come forward, and there are many, have nothing to gain because you can't maintain a civil suit after the age of 18 unless it is brought within 5 years. Please realize this sicko was in a position of trust with those children and he was clever enough to satisfy his sick urges. Of course these are just "allegations". What a horrible mess to have occurred in our community. Also, the investigation should include the sicko's family and employees. They were in it for the money.

I hope that all will find a way to make sure that any abuse of children is published and that the consequences on that sorry pervert are more than any abuse. It is heart breaking to read post from those who were victims. At the time they were not mature enough to handle the calculated abuse by some one they trusted. There is not enough punishment on this planet for some one who takes advantage of a child.

If you are a victim and haven't contacted the GBI or haven't shared what you know, we understand. When we were your age, we didn't either. How can you even say it out loud. The embarrassment, the shame, the fear, is too much. Just know, that if you choose to come forward, you will not be alone. We will stand behind you. Facing this now, will save you years of suffering. There will be many by your side. I hope you can find the courage I could not. No matter what, we will support you and be by your side.

What a moronic statement!!! but the statement reveals alot about the source, your obviously an idiot!
If the investigation is proper we will find the truth and then the appropriate actions will take place.

Unfortunately, the "appropriate actions" can not be taken unless a victim who has not let the statute of limitations run out on him comes forward.

If all fifteen adults whom I understand now claim to have been molested as children stand on the courthouse steps and swear on the Bible to have been molested, the law's hands will be tied because the statute of limitations has run out on them all.

Unless a more recent victim comes forward, the perpetrator will go Scott free under the law.

My understanding is that investigators will protect the identity of a minor victim and will allow anonymous video testimony.

Mr. Moreno, maybe your time in the hospital calmed your heart. The above sounds reasonable. I've made slight change to your post below.

Unless more recent victim(s) comes forward, the perpetrator will go Scott free under the law.

Moreno how have you gotten this 'knowledge' of 15 adults. The GBI is not giving any information when asked. Is this a guessed number or have you actually communicated with 15 men? You have made unsupported statements in the past.

It's still up there. And Moreno I still want to know how you know so much more than everyone else, yet won't elaborate.

Still waiting, is someone going to jail or is someone getting sued?

No one is going to jail unless there is a trial, the accused faces his accusor(s), and the jury deems that the defendant did indeed commit the crime(s) he is charged with. If he is found guilty of these crimes, then the victims could possibly sue for damages. If he, however, is found innocent, he could sue the one(s) who accused him of committing the crimes for damage to his reputation.

Perhaps, but he can not sue those who have reported accurately that he is the subject of a GBI investigation due to allegations of child sexual abuse.

Even when found not guilty in a criminal trial, they could still win a verdict in a civil trial. Different burden of proof required, however time may have run out.

Yes, "beyond a reasonable doubt" (criminal) vs. "the preponderance of the evidence"(civil.)

I keep wondering if that's what this is all about.
