Because the anti-SPLOST teabaggers have no logical argument to promote, they're trying to divert everyone's attention by babbling on about Orange Hall. Spencer said (in his last letter) that the downtown infrastructure is in desperate need of repair and yet he still wants you to vote No and turn down the funding that would enable us to pay for those repairs, equipment, services etc. A NO vote is illogical and self-defeating. We'd all just end up paying far more for far less. Vote YES to VII.

I dont care what Spencer's thoughts are but here is mine
Those elected are like crackheads but instead of crack its money.
The sooner the money supply is taken away from them the better.
They will have to make real decsions on what to do. right now SPOST is their fall back.
If they have to cut help or raise taxes you will be able to see it
the last meeting I went to Gant was already speaking of spending SPLOST7 on something different than what was in paper so we know he is willing to break the law on it and the rest will also

Once again "the tea baggers". Really!! Believe me, If they did exist they would be picketing Orange Hall.

During a time when most town folk are having difficulties filling up their gas tank you elitist tell us its our duty to pour millions of dollars into your special interest projects. Please!!

Spenser's quote, "that the downtown infrastructure is in desperate need of repair" is right on the mark and in total agreement with Splost Six list of authorized projects where over 80% of splost 6 revenue was approved to go towards infrastructure.

By June 2012 less than 18% of sploast 6 went for infrastructure while over 80% went towards special interest projects.

Like T-splost, splost will be voted down overwhelmingly. So start baking brownies for your first Orange Hall fund raiser.

And there it is - the word we were all waiting for: "elitist." They've thrown in "special interest", "real estate cartel" and every other smoke-blowing catch-phrase they usually use. Next up will be the tried-and-true "anti-American" tactic.
It comes down to this: vote yes to SPLOST VII or get out your check book and give up the right to whine when your water/sewer and millage rates go up. I'm quite happy to have visitors to the county pay 12 to 15% of the costs to maintain the infrastructure etc. Apparently others like "Really" really, really want the taxpayers to bear the entire burden.

let the visitors alone deadbeat, start paying your taxes. Carry the burden yourself.

News Flash:

When Splost 7 is defeated my family of four will be saving $3000 over the six year period. That little penny adds up fast.

When the millage rate increases, every dollar we the middle class neighborhood dwellers pay, you the Elitist, Osprey Cove, real estate cartel multiple property owners and others, will pay many times more.

I'm sure you realize how the millage rate is calculated. Might be one of the reasons why the county "Elitists" are pushing so hard for Splost 7.

Looking forward to those brownies!!

Well now, aren't you just the funniest little revolutionary. Chanting your packaged words and phrases and pretending to be Joe Average: savior of "we the people."
While you're cuddling your piggy bank and counting your pennies, please spend a few moments thinking over how you plan to pay down the water sewer debt and maintain roads and services.
How nice for you that you're "middle class" but I guess your "we the people" doesn't include the elderly, those on fixed incomes, the less economically secure, single parents, those who have lost their jobs etc. And you call others "elitist."
You're just drunk and deranged on your toxic class-envy - one of the handful of people in Camden County who spread the Osprey Cove versus Every Man garbage and try drag the rest of us down to your level. Grow up and join the thinking majority: those who will be voting YES to SPLOST VII.

We sure don't need to give elected crooks more money to futher mess up this county.

Government crooks need to have their teeth pulled and be kicked out of office.

Hell no to any more (SPLOSTVII) tax revenue. These elitist political scumbags have proved over and over they can't be trusted. They think they can keep taking us for fools.

The same type of scumbags (real estate cartel types) who got us in this mess are still in government positions. Still trying to bleed us dry.

That means $50K in purchases (not expenses) every year all in Camden County. That's hard to do without buying a new car every year.

Never question a conservative when it comes to facts and figures. Check out your utilities bills for that little hidden splost tax as one example.
