With all the homes for sale in Osprey Cove, many homeowners have been forced to rent their vacant homes until they can find a buyer. Many of the homes are available for bargain rates. This situation has brought in a class of people who normally could not afford to live in The Cove.

Friday evening socials at the waterfront cabana and tiki bar which have previously been a quiet opportunity for neighbors to have a cocktail in a beautiful outdoor setting, have turned into drunk fests with military wives inviting their non-resident friends in mass to partake of the bargain drinks and get out of control.

Some of the men renters are making a habit of going to the club bar on a nightly basis and drinking clearly to excess, without fear of running the gauntlet of police presence in the city of St. Marys.

The property owners association has had to impose new restrictions on conduct and the number of guests residents can invite in.

All is NOT well in The Cove.

What happen to its all about the revenue....the rich seniors(yankees) will not have to be worried about the sr. tax exemption out there in the COVE...they will be willing to sell here and keep their winter home up north rather than flocking down here to keep warm...us southern drunks will run them out one way or another.

And yet the county commissioners want to lower the impact fees so that they can attract developers to build more homes that will stand empty!? And the needed revenue from the fees will be put right on the shoulders of the citizens.

Wondering how many owners at the Cove came from paupers? Or how many owners actually worked and slaved to buy a house in the Cove? Personally the folks at the Cove aren't any better than someone out at the Point of Poverty. All property in Camden is over priced and overly exaggerated as 'swank'.
Some people work hard for what they have and others are born with a silver spoon - such a pity we cannot all be brought into the world 'wealthy'...but wait...we can't take anything with us when we die...all material items turn to dust; just as our bodies do.
God created all and for some they are better off being a bit needy - for they - as the sparrow - depend on God to supply their needs and no I am not speaking of 'material possessions.
Get a clue; no one is better than another, and no one is going to reach the pearly gates by being wealthy - remember the eye of the needle?
Anyway - snobs make me want to hurl - call Earl -
I wouldn't trade my little humble shack for all the houses in Osprey - I wouldn't be able to stand the smell of those that have an upper lip that is so high up in the air they could drown if caught out in the rain - turkeys...and because I wouldn't want to ever live above my means.

Can you have a drink without making an ass out of yourself? For some reason, I doubt it.

You can absolutely have a drink without making an ass of yourself. And as far as those making "asses of themselves at the cabana in the cove" that is open to intepretation...does having a drink, telling jokes, talking about your week and laughing make you an ass...i think not. Just saying....live and let live as you chose.

This is really amusing. The property owners are upset because their gated community is under attack by "renters". They say the renters are inviting hoards of their friends to the Friday get together at the cabana and becoming loud, drunk, and obnoxious.

The renters say that they are just acting normal, telling a few jokes, and doing a little back slapping with their non-resident friends.

To the property owners, the renters are invading their here-to-fore private, country club world. To the renters, the property owners can like their conduct and friends or lump it. This is going to get good. I wonder who will come out on top?

We are putting a family of nine together to rent a 4 bed room house on the golf course. Can't wait, my friends.

I have always wanted to learn how to play golf. I found a nice set of clubs on Craigslist for $50.

My girlfried done moved into one of them Osprey Houses govment paid. She got four babies. They run em out of a public swimming pool for not changing her babies diapers in time. Now she don't have to worry, she got her own pool. She flop around in that pool all day and ring me in the gate every night.

But you can bet that there really are scores of "Church Ladies" working on it. The Agape cultists will be at the forefront of the movement.
