I think anyone whose ideals and preferences conflict with the creed of the Boy or Girl Scouts of America should not join that organization. Do as individuals have throughout history...form an organization which reflects YOUR beliefs. Why would anyone want to join a church which didn't support their beliefs? Or a club? You don't mold an organization to fit your beliefs. You join one which shares your beliefs or else you organize one which reflects your beliefs. The Scouts ARE NOT MANDATORY for anyone. If gays don't like their policies and beliefs, walk away! Go organize your own "Scouts for Equality" and accept gay membership and leadership or whatever. Does anyone agree with me?

Consider the need for these post as an indicator or your sickness. So you want these kids to embellish gayness. Should these kids be innocent scouts or victims of some perverse agenda driven sicko.

Parents of young boys will never allow their sons to join if the boy scouts allow queers as members and scout leaders,

No, sorry, clearly the overwhelming majority of Americans and Scouts do not agree with you. Discrimination whether public, private, overt or covert is not the American way. We are a maturing nation that leads the world in ethical and fair treatment of it's citizens. Are we perfect in that respect, no, but we're trying. And open discrimination against one group, class or segment of society is not how we'll do it. Hence, you'll see the BSA announce their voluntary change(s) on gay issues within the next few weeks. Will they be all inclusive as the GSA has been forever? Maybe, maybe not, we'll see. But I assure you it will be all inclusive in time. Move on over to the correct side of history and help out with this issue. You'll be glad you did and the country will be better off.

As long as the Boy Scouts make any changes themselves and not have changes forced on them by a court, then so be it. It is, after all, their business to manage and run how they and their members see fit.

Anyone know the GSA position regarding gays?

The Girl Scouts of America do not discriminate because of sexual orientation, youth or adult. A great organization whose membership increases each year. The Boy Scouts could learn somethings from them.

I'm sorry to read of the demise of your late penis. I hope the poor little guy got a decent burial. Cremation would have been so uncomfortable for you.

Are there really adults out there in this day and age that seriously assume that because a man is gay, he is going to prey on young boys as a scout leader? "Gay" does not equal pedophile any more than 'Straight" does. It's ridiculous to assume that because a gay man wants to be a scout leader his only motive would be to molest children.

I'd also like to know exactly what the homosexual 'agenda' is. I've asked my partner, and she doesn't know either. Perhaps our 'agenda news letter' has been lost in the mail. The only 'agenda' I have on a daily basis is waking up, showering, earning a living, eating a few meals, taking care of the house, and getting a good night's sleep.

It's interesting to me that there is so much focus on bullying in school, how to stop it, prevent it, etc., yet we still have so many close-minded, ignorant adults out there with children, that spend their time arguing and insulting other adults. If we as adults can't get along and accept that there are differences in each human being, how in the world do we expect our children to behave any differently?

Good call! If the BSA makes changes because they want to, fine. That's the American way. And we all should join ranks and support their decision, whatever it may be. That's also the American way.
