I'm totally confused about what happened last night. I'm praying for him...Maybe we can get back on track. It got crazy. I decided to give it up and watch the Oscars. Jennifer Lawrence wins!

It appears obvious that lobbyists have way too much influence. It seems that one of the best things would be to eliminate the revolving door of:
A. lobbyists who become congressional staffers and
B. former congressmen or Senators or congressional staffers who become lobbyists.
A minimum 10 year ban on that incestuous little hiring process would go a long way towards limiting undue influence.

Also a restriction on ANY gifts from lobbyists and that would include any paid trips for legislators or their staff.(most recent example, Bob Menendez and his little prostitution trip)

Ban immediate family members (spouse, children, siblings) of any government official (at or above a certain level - i.e. legislators, Cabinet officials, etc) from working for a lobbyist. May seem unfair, but that's the price if you want to work in the halls of power.

Regarding the filibuster, I readily admit I don't understand all the strange workings of how things get to a vote in the respective houses of Congress. It doesn't seem right that the Senate majority leader can just not allow an item to be brought up to a vote, or that individual Senators can put a "secret hold" on a bill. And the filibuster basically does the same thing. But I don't understand enough about it, so I'll pass.

* The cartoons I watch are more realistic than the drivel you speak of. And just keep watching the cartoons that are on your level. Probably Tweety Bird Roadrunner... No sense in you getting out of your comfort zone...
__
*The Rockefellers and Rothschild’s can start and stop wars...
AGAIN - insiders count Rothschild wealth [$$$] not in billions
-- but in the trillions.
TRILLIONS -- Got it? THEN, when you ALSO consider the OTHER
dynastic families, in the Pilgram's Society, they have even more
[$$$].
AGAIN > not in billions > but TRILLIONS
So, how many TRILLIONS might we be talking about - in TOTAL?
''COULD IT BE'' that you're so naive that you have the mind of a simpleton or else a mentally handicapped person?
____
* Since when is population control a bad thing, the earth can only accommodates so many people.
I seriously doubt that you watched the video of D. Rockefellers'speech about world population control[link provided]. Also it was good to read the many comments posted there by those that watched the video. I read several hundred of the comments.
So with your out-your-a$$-hole simpleton type comment that, "Since when is population control a bad thing..." How might we acheive this noble goal equitably and fairly? You're clearly one of two things, a frick'n genius or a blundering idiot, and in consideration of the content of your post I believe it's the latter.
__
* The U.S. birth rate is way down as are birth rates in other
developed nations. China has set limits on the number of children to control the population. Still no mass murders by governments for population control, what a nut you are.
We have another issue that you might consider if you could ever
go above the level of your cartoons. It's the fact that so many
people around the world want to come to the US, and if the immigration laws are changed we may welcome many more of them, and then we have the illegal immigrants that are already here that may receive amnesty with the passing of the new immigration laws.
In your child-like level of thinking you also apparently failed
to consider the facts about the 'birth rates' in the un-developed nations[the third world].
China has approximately 1.3 billion people, and India 1.1 billion{+/-}, while unofficially the US population is put at about 340 million. So with that it remains no problem for the world as long as China and India have a one-child per family policy? BUT, India has no such policy in place, so there goes ANY validity to your argument.
'Mass murders' and 'population control' probably shouldn't ever be considered to be the same things, but in your delusional-fantasy-land perhaps they seem the same. Your argument is so naive and so off-base that it really doesn't deserve any detailed reply.
Perhaps some of you here might give this lost person a few pointers, and go over some possible 'population control' scenarios[there are many].
Just one reply to all your drivel! IF as you claim money can control wars and a trillion dollars is such a huge sum. Why then does the U.S. waste so many lives when a lousy trillion dollars will solve all our problems in Iran, Afghanistan etc.?
YouTube is like a huge garbage can, anyone can put anything in it. It takes a little thought and commonsense to sort thru the trash. Two things you lack.
Some things in this world are just out of our control. Hurricanes and Tornados kill and destroy. Stupid people like you breathe the oxygen that is required to live. Both are tragedy’s that are unavoidable.
Try to enjoy whats left of your life, throw your computer in the trash.

i'm definitely no expert on the subject either.but i do wish that someone would do some research and find out just how many times the filibuster has been used in the past 20-25 yrs. as opposed to the first 200+.it would also be intresting to know how many times by democrats, and how many by republicans-in the past 20-25 yrs.

Sure hope everyone was able to see Queen Michelle last night at the Oscars. Resplendent in her gown worth thousands and jewelry also worth thousands, she bestowed upon the winner of Best Picture, the golden statute. Her speech thanking Hollywood for, well, just being so darn wonderful in every respect, was her way of thanking them for their support of her goofy husband, King Barack. It all brought tears to my eyes as I fought back the nausea.

I didn't watch the Oscars as I am not really that thrilled with watching Hollywood celebrate itself so I had no idea that was done. Just watched a clip of it - nauseating is right. But then, given that Hollywood is all about make believe and false images, maybe that was appropriate after all.

I am trying to be patient, I really am. Right now, four years seems like an eternity. Then, the Republicans will have to find someone who can beat Hillary ("what difference does it make") Clinton and possible First Husband, Bill. OMG!

This is hilarious and I totally agree. The Obama's are so incredibly starstruck. Of course, those in Hollyweird know that and suck up to them, so they'll be allowed to hang out at WH parties. Cloony is the worst one. Hanks comes in second. The whole thing is quite amusing.

It is also amusing how the media fawns over Michelle. Every recent article makes some reference to her damn bangs. Ya just wamma say, please, for God's sake, give it a rest. Yes, she has bangs. I really think by now the entire world knows about her bangs. ARGHHHH!

If Barack Hussein had bangs, that might be a story of interest.

It says in the TOS of Topix. "If it upsets you that the free expression of ideas is often heated and offensive, please do not use Topix". There you damn buzzard. They said if you don't like what I got to say stay off topix. So shutup about getting me banned. You can't.

I'll refrain from commenting due to sounding racist. I must confess I do enjoy a well written movie. I do enjoy the Oscars for the most part and not ashamed to say so. It does get loong and boring, but much better when you watch most of the movies and have your favorites. So, I wasn't the least surprised when "Queen", as you have named her delivered the Best Picture category, shocked that you even mention it. We discussed this weeks and weeks ago. The Obamas and their Hollywood friends aren't new news. Bill loves Hollywood as much as Hollywood loves Bill. This ain't a first, people. Hollywood elitist will always lean L. Always. Not a shocker at all.
