Sat through the premier today and was not impressed. While some of the scenery shots were nicely done, the "acting" left alot to be desired. At this point, I have to say that the best screen performance in the film was by Cindy Deen.

With Cecile B. DeVaught and Delta Dawn Ryan's involvment, I am shocked - simply shocked - that it will not be the darling the Cannes Film Festival.

DD should be a shoe-in for best cotume design - movie or no movie!

I thought (as did the majority of the audience) that it was extremely well done.

So do tell, Jay...what have YOU done for this community lately (or ever)?

She wasn't acting, she's that way for real.

while EOTH was not of statuture to an epic such as Ben Hur, nor of the legermain of Titanic, nor of the digital 3D wonder of Avatar - it was nonetheless a very enjoyable movie that highlight's our town quite well. And if you listened closely, you heard little nuances as the name of the Huricanne as "Barbara", and how the town of Hatchee Florida had a St. Marys Street. And if you look closely, you notice all the filming locales around town and a number of our citizens, each in their own way, giving of themselves in time & energy to see this as a successful project. To belittle the movie, is to belitle yourself, your friends, and our community.

And to not allow someone to speak their opinion is close minded.

The filming of this movie brought much-needed dollars into town, displayed the uncommon generosity of the citizens, provided entertainment, will attract people to our area and resulted in a well-crafted film. Only the petty and terminally-disgruntled (like Moreno) can find anything in all of that to criticize. These kinds of people usually just sit at their computers, throw stones at others who strive to better our community and contribute nothing themselves.
To the Coastal Georgia Film Alliance and the cast and crew of Eye of the Hurricane - well done and thank you!

But obviously somewhat illiterate. Do you put "civile" engineer and "coniseuer" on your resume? You may not "neeed" anyone to explain movies to you but clearly you do require someone to assist you with basic spelling and typing. Just sayin'...

The movie was enjoyable. The acting was great, especially the child actors. This movie will win awards at film festival level. If you did not like it, don't go see the finished product or buy the DVD. It brought much needed revenue to the city. The mayor and Sidney Howell attended the screening. Where were the rest of them?

Hey Babs - You need to get you a new spellchecker and grammar tool on your word processor. Legerdemain-look it up. And find a better use for all that paper you expend on your ego project. Oh, wait. There's not enough paper or web space in the universe for that bloated monster.

Speaking of "bloated monsters" with bizarrely inflated egos...go away, Jay.

The cinematography (sp?) was really good. I am sad that they cut out one of the beautiful river sunsets they filmed. But I left kinda disappointed with what I felt was a "stiffness" in the lead actor and actress. Some very akward scenes.

Let's all remember that Jay Moreno is the one who said the movie would never be made and did all he could to disparage those who worked to get it made in St. Marys. Sounds like sour grapes (once again) from the nutcake.
