Oh, you have really made "the list" big time now. As soon as I sell the fillings from my late grandmother's teeth, I'm going to hire me a lawyer and sue you so bad your eyes will cross and you'll cough up a softball sized hairball. I will own your scooter and your little dog too before I'm done with you.

Wow. I have been bested. Big time.

Nice job, TZ. Top shelf stuff there.

I seriously doubt if "you know who" will see the humor in it, but they should. That was funny.

Nice to have someone to share Jay's threats and insults with. Doubtless, you have made "the list".

Well, at least you didn't completely rule it out.

It's a start. All journeys must have a beginning.

Woo-sahhhhhhh.

Jay...just confess your love here for Alex. Dont fight your feelings for her. You know deep down inside you really are infatuated by her. You are just acting like a school boy by calling her all those vile and nasty names. Just tell her how you feel. She will understand.

In truth, I do enjoy the banter with Jay. It takes a sharp mind, if I may be so bold, to counter some of his posts. Keeps me busy looking for the next angle to approach from. I enjoy the challenge.

Then, too...it seems like he takes a lot of shots from a lot of different people. That part I don't care for. But he does appear to bring most of it upon himself. Perhaps he secretly enjoys it. Who knows?

All in good fun. If one cannot laugh at ones' self, then one has no right to laugh at another.

So, let's keep it light, and not worry about the score, eh?

Bon Appetit'.

NO...it is just his love for you Alex that has him flustered. He dreams of the day that you ride on his lap while you both ride through an open field of tulips embraced in a big slobbery wet kis. Jay adores you!

"It takes a sharp mind, if I may be so bold, to counter some of his posts." Really, Chef? Apparently I missed that clever post of Jay's. Could you offer us an "amuse-bouche" of his sparkly repartee and unassailable logic? Just a taste would suffice: anything that might indicate a "sharp mind" beneath the layers of dysfunction and lies.

Jay can't even spell "sarcasm," much less use it.

Hmmm let's see. A respected 50-something year old woman who's a personal fitness trainer and writer and enjoys her family, friends and community versus an isolated, universally hated, morbidly obese, psychotic, 60-something year old man with diabetes and (through his own admitted negligence) Guillain–Barré syndrome.
Sorry, Julian, but the odds are as much against you outliving her as they are of you ever being elected for anything. But don't worry, I'm sure she'll send flowers when you finally expire.

When I passed by Bistro and Brew about 9:50 tonight, they were indeed still open. They close at 10:00

That would be a great place for a coffee and dessert after a movie.

Also a great place for sailors and Marines with a sweet tooth.

So, what, exactly, is a 'bistro," anyway?

Yep, that is exactly what the Bistro & Brew is!

This afternoon, I had the poulet roti.

That's the dish pictured at the very top of their Facebook page.

OMG, that was so delicious!

The large, roasted chicken breast is delicately seasoned. Before plating it, they spoon up some of the chicken jus from the roasting pan onto the plate. The chicken breast is placed atop the jus then topped with about a dozen top quality capers.
The combined flavors are out-of-this-world.

Arrayed on the opposite side of the plate are several 3/4 inch thick transverse slices of French baguettes. Those have ben brushed with clarified butter, then grilled, then topped with wedges of very high quality brie.

That in itself would be delicious, but here's the trick. Be sure to let the bread soak up a little of the jus. Fantastic flavor.

The plate was garnised with 4 or 5 walnut-sized dewberries. They were ripe, sweet, and absolutely delicious. In the picture on their Facebook page, that serving looks to be garnished with currants.

Just now, after I correctly spelled "currants," this damned maddening software changed it to "ants."

For a side, I chose cole slaw. It was very tasty, but not my favorite cut of the cabbage or carrots. Long shreds. There are always several sides to chose from. If one is their fresh Brussels sprouts, go for them.

I can't recommend this dish highly enough. The only way it will get better is with the right wine when they get their beer and wine license. They have already applied and are waiting for the Bible belt wheels to grind it out.

Oh, hell. How could I have forgotten the delicious sautéed, whole mushrooms atop the poulet roti. They were plentiful and delicious. Pefect compliment to the chicken

Oh, and another thing, in the picture on the top of the Facebook page, those are the dewberries I was talking about.

Scroll down the page and you will find a picture of the same dish, but with currants vice dewberries and a sprig of fresh rosemary.
