Damn, Jay, she is a one woman conspiracy out to get you. She is hiding behind every bush and follows you in Wal Mart. Why in her former life, her name must have been Misty and she kicked the crap out of you. For all you know, she may be writing this.

Despite all you naysayers, took the Missus here last night and found the menu to have something for everyone. Entrees start at $10.99 and there's standard Southern fare like my favorite Chicken & Waffles plus European Entrees like "Arrosto Ippoglosso con Rosmarino" so I can pretend I've been to Europe without leaving St Marys. Instead of downgrading every attempt to move us forward I suggest you try it, maybe only for Lunch. Owner/Chef Victoria has created something unique for y'all and it has the ingredients to succeed if we support it. It's location won't benefit from the I-95 "visitors" and it could become OUR special place!
(p.s. No beer & wine for 90 days)

On a related note, I recently had the pleasure of taking lunch at a delightful little Scottish restaurant in Kingsland...
It's called "McDonald's", and those of you who have yet to sample its' fare are doing yourselves a gross disservice by not stopping by.
Staffed by an eclectic mix of nationalities and personalities, it features a menu that draws strongly from imaginative interpretations of traditional fare.
I chose a delightful number featuring not one, but two flavorful patties of chopped beef; adorned with a simple mix of fresh shredded lettuce; festooned with a simple slice of pasteurized and processed cheese; and topped with a delightful sauce which served to amplify the sum of the parts; all of this artfully displayed within not one, but three separate slices of perfectly baked enriched white bread. Be still my heart!
In a testament to the whimsical, yet cosmopolitan theme of the place, it was simply described on the menu as "The Big Mac". I could not help but notice the humor in such a simple name for such a complicated offering!
I also chose a portion of delicately sliced russet potatos, cleverly cut into thin oblong pieces, and then perfectly fried in what must have been a carefully blended bath of animal fat based oil. Trust me...you have to taste them to appreciate them.
For a beverage, I selected a cup of carbonated water, flavored with an inspired blend of caramel syrup and corn sugar, with just a hint of preservative added.
In short, it was a culinary experience unlike any I have ever had.
Those of you who can appreciate the finer things in life would be well-advised to give it a try.
Bon Appetit!
Dear Pamp,

Thank you so much for your marvelous critique. It so unusual to find a genuine Scottish restaurant and my better half and I could not wait to dine there. Since we were not to eat until 7:00 pm, I called ahead for a reservation. I was amazed to find that no reservation was needed and the gentleman who introduced himself as the assistant manager assured me that we would be seated immediately.

I followed your suggestion, ordering the "Big Mac" and the pommes frites off the French menue. I would suggest that, should you choose to dine again at this establishment, you should request the German tomato dipping sauce with your pommes fites. This superb sauce, made with pureed fresh tomatoes, vine white vinegar, an assortment of fruit sugars, and a secret blend of spices. turns the experience of eating pommes frites into an internationally flavored delight.

My significant other ordered a Mediterranean influenced chicken pita sandwich. The fabulous, done-just-right chicken was cradled in a bed of fresh garden greens and kissed with just the right amount of a fabulous ranch dressing that must be made fresh several times a day by the hard working kitchen staff.

All in all, it was a great dining experience. Thank you again for your review and keep them coming.

I agree wholeheartedly. That is the best managed McDonald's I've ever experienced. The 60-ish, bald-headed manager runs a tight ship.

I recently tried the large pita sandwich with the fried chicken strips and the sweet chili. I like the ranch dressing version as well, but the sweet chili is excellent. The cucumber slices in it really go well with it.

Their specialty burgers with mushrooms, swiss cheese, and loads of caramelized onions are also excellent. Ask for heavy onions.

I am sorry to announce that we are totally sold out of Beef Steak for our Philly's and our Chicago beefs for lunch tomorrow. We sold so many today that we sold out! We never have run out of that before I guess i will have to start to order more. As they have become very popular. I do however have an order for my Beef called in for tomorrow however I can not be sure it will be before Lunch. I called this evening and they have assured me it will be here some time Thursday. We will be roasting a fresh cured Brisket for our corn beef tomorrow in the early morning so we should be ok there. I just want to thank everyone for their support of our new Bistro, we are growing fast and with that comes some growing pains such as selling out of popular items I will try to very hard to increase our orders as our business continues to grow.

Maybe your endorsement helped. It seems they are doing very well-even selling out some of the items on the menu. We did try it out and enjoyed it very much.

Glad you did.

I see a larger building in their future.

A larger location would be a great place for CCGA culinary arts students to intern.

The bitch will return just as soon as those who will run against her lefty-loon candidates in the coming St. Marys elections reveal themselves. She's right there on Ann Street waiting.
