"GUTHRIE, Oklahoma - A 3-year-old child in Guthrie died Saturday, after accidentally shooting himself in the head, according to the Logan County Sheriff's office."

So when some idiot says, Guns don't kill people, tell them they're full of sh*t.

It's past time for gun control in our country. Pitch in and make your voice heard.

Hitting the intended target.

A gun is a tool for making holes, at a distance.

Excellent. Now how about selling pistols to teachers at cost?

Squeamish teachers? Fire 'em. We don't allow pacifists to man missle silos. Same principle.

Guns do one thing well, kill people. This child should be alive and playing today. We need gun control regulations NOW!

In Japan where they are outlawed, they had TWO deaths by guns in 2006; 22 in 2007; 11 in 2008. The USA had more than 12-thousand in 2008.

This is madness. Gun Control Regulations Now!

I agree. Mugging, raping, car jacking and home invading are a risky business. My working inviornment would be much safer with fewer guns in the hands of my prey. I appreciate everything my friends and supporters in government are doing to make me feel more secure.

Oh, and just before you pop a cap in a groveling, unarmed, White Lib, be sure to thank him or her for their suppot as well.

A gun is an inanimate object. It can't do anything with out someone taking said object, loading it and pointing it and pulling the trigger. A gun did not cause these deaths. A sick EVIL person did. The gun was just a means to an end and the catalyst for the Demonuts and left wingers to push their anti gun agenda. It is a shame that this tragedy is being exploited to this end.

If they take away your guns what will you use to protect yourself if needed? I do not agree with removing all guns from owners just the ones that shoot alot of rounds without reloading. The gun owner is responsible for the safety of the gun. LOCK IT UP so children cannot get to it and use a lock on the trigger. Do not take away my guns. Use Gun Safety and Common sense.

I agree....
As someone said guns are just a object like a shovel or rake....people kill ..objects cannot unless a person misuses the object.

Wake up and realize that there are MORE responsible gun owners than idiots, criminal/thugs, and dummies who leave guns laying around where a three-year-old and angry, mentally disturbed savots who'd shoot up a school can get to them.

The laws on the books now don't stop or deter crime. Disarming me won't help except make everywhere a gun-free zone where the evil bad-guys amongst us have easy days plying their trade.

In Japan they basically have one cultural society that has strong commitments to what is acceptable. We have swayed from what is right.

I disagree. Any law attempting to disarm law abiding honest people will convert law abiding honest people into law breakers and outlaws. Liberal Idiots are clueless of what that would bring down on their heads. We as a people have a God given and Constitutional right to defend ourselves and our families against criminals and tyrannical communist government jack booted thugs.

If misguided liberal idiots want to be prey for the criminal element in society that is good. The less of them the better. To a large extent these political idiots, and government dependant criminals have joined forces and are trying to grab power and control of this great nation. Only from my cold dead hands. Live free or die.

If this child had tried to climb up onto a bar stool ,and it had overturned and broke his neck ,would you ban all bar stools. The fault was not the gun ,it was the person that left the gun where the child could get to it.

Less than 3% of children grow up in single parent families in Japan. The good old left leaning USA >27%. Take a wild guess where the majority of these violet nut cases come from.

You're sick man. The American public isn't buying those crap arguments anymore. Guns kill people. Intentionally and unintentionally, but if guns are not around, neither happens.

We're getting some solid gun control regulations this time my friend, we've reached a tipping point. We're sick of giving up our kids and communities to the NRA and gun nuts.

And when I say "we're" I mean the overwhelming majority of voting Americans. We support strong gun regulations and restrictions. And we're getting them before long.

I am not against banning 30 round clips. No hunter needs that many trys at trying to hit a deer.If he does then he need to go back to the practice range. However you will never ban simiautomatic rifles, because they have been around as long as I can remember.I don't think any of these mass shootings were carried out with hunting rifles. The gun that this nut had was not near as powerful as a 30-06 hunting rifle,it just was able to be fired many more times before reloading.

I like the title if this thread "guns kill people".So does knives, baseball bats, cars, motorcycles, falling trees, pit bulls ,even chunks of steak and hotdogs, and falling off cliffs. If some nut shoots a clerk during a robbery, does the headline the next day read a "357 magnum killed a store clerk yesterday",no it says a robber killed a clerk yesterday.Put the blame on the one that was using the gun ,not the gun.
