Setting the stage for his speech to the UN Obama says he will take whatever steps he must to keep Iran from getting a nuclear weapon.

My response to him is "where the hell have you been the past 3 1/2 years?"

Here an excerpt from reuters:

(Reuters)- President Barack Obama will say on Tuesday the United States will "do what we must" to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon as U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon warned against threatening attacks whose consequences would be devastating.

Preparing to take the podium at the United Nations six weeks before the U.S. presidential election, Obama hopes to counter criticism of his foreign record by Republican rival Mitt Romney, who has accused him of mishandling the Arab Spring uprisings, damaging ties with Israel and not being tough enough on Iran.

Obama also planned an appeal to world leaders for a united front against further attacks on U.S. diplomatic missions in Muslim countries.

Seeking to step up pressure on Iran, Obama will tell the U.N. General Assembly that there is still time for a diplomacy but that "time is not unlimited," according to advance excerpts of his speech to be delivered on Tuesday morning.

His tough talk appears aimed at easing Israeli concerns about U.S. resolve to curb Tehran's nuclear drive, as he reasserts before the world body that he will never let Iran develop an atomic bomb and then simply contain the problem."

Obama you are a day late and a dollar short!

Fortunately, Obama is a steady-hand.

Thank god Romney, McCain or heaven forbid, Bush Junior is not in charge. We've had enough war for a while. Our Treasury in blood and gold is nearly depleted.

So now, acting like the President of the United States and standing strong before the UN is a bad thing? Well if you don't want us to stand strong and you don't want us to handle international affairs diplomatically, vote for Romney.
are you blind

I received an email today and will post an excerpt in this post. The writer agrees that Obama is dangerous but doesn't feel that he is the most dangerous. He feels that the electorate that will casrt a vote for him is even more dangerous. I tend to agree with the writer.

Here is the excerpt:

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting an inexperienced man like him with the presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive an Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of Idiots such as those who made him their president." "AMERICA IS BOTH BROKE AND BROKEN"

We are Americans and we are patriots. We are not fools; we are hard working, optimistic citizens who believe in the greatness of our country and our ability to survive. We came through eight years with a president who took us from a financial surplus to a trillion dollar deficit, who led us into one of our greatest financial disasters, who sat by while our country was attacked on our own soil, who failed in his promise to bring those responsible to justice, who led us into two fruitless and undeclared wars, and destroyed our international respect.

We elected a man who can, with our support and our hard work, lead us out of this mess. He has already brought our troops home from one war and will end the other within months. He made good on our pledge to bring those responsible for the attack on us to justice. He has gained back much of the respect for America throughout the world. He has stopped the death spiral of our economy and he will help us fight back to financial stability.

We know where we have been and we know how we got there. It's a long road and we are not at the end yet but we will survive and we will prosper. No, we are no fools.
