A gentleman's club, aka nudie bar, will never come to St. Marys. More than a decade ago, the city passed an adult entertainment ordinance that essentially takes the profit out of a business like that opening in the city. Dancers are not allowed to come within a considerable distance from customers (six feet, I believe). There are other provisions, that while it won't stop a business like this from opening in town, is unlikely to ever happen. The ordinance was fashioned after another one that was challenged all the way to the state Supreme Court.
