That is sad her son could not be more understanding. He probably didn't know that he was even adopted. That is why the law makes it difficult for people to track adoptive children. I understand that but today is today and that woman gave birth to you.

I myself met my real mother at 17...After I have been on my own since 14 and real heavily into gangs, violence, and drugs. She cried for a while when she found out how I really was. Maybe things would have been different if I was raised by her but I turned out well. I make more in a year than she has in 5. I told her one Christmas, "thanks for the genes" giving my IQ of 146. She laugh a lot.

It has been about 15 years since meeting her and I still have never called her mom or said I love you. She hounds me twice a year at our bi-annual family reunion which ha not been broken in 15 years. I simply don't feel that way.

I am simply grateful to know her now and I don't see the point of doing the expected. But I don't disrespect her. She is still my mother and for this guy to say "This will be our one and only conversation" just tells me that he must have some serious "mommy" issues or quite a less IQ.

But this has been an interesting story and I support mothers everywhere.

I hope her son realizes the reason for giving him up for adoption and one day will try to make contact again. He might be confused in his life since he is only 18, but once he starts his own family and reflects, he might change his mind. I pray that one day he will understand and they both can have peace in their lifes.

I'll bet someday her son changes his mind. You don't feel the same way about anything at 18 once you hit 30-35+. She may have surprised him. At least she has a child to call; 18 years ago she could easily have aborted him.

I know Mary Kay and her family from growning up in Columbus. Our Mother's were best friends and she comes from a wonderful family. Both Ladies are fortunate to find each other and I wish Juliana success in finding her son. Wonderful Story!
