You know... they force commercial pilots to mandatory retirement at age 60, (soon to be 65). I'm not sure what the law is for commercial drivers, but I think it's time to take the elderly off the road at that age as well. Or, at least have them evaluated periodically to make sure they are still safe and competent to drive. These people are lucky they didn't take out any other innocent drivers in their crash.

LMAO!!! Listen to the little drama queen!!! I am sure that a police officer is just going all around your little school whispering to everyone that you are an SO. Oh....and what does your being an SO have to do with your license? Could it be that you have shown yourself to be a general MENACE on the road and THAT is why you are revoked or suspended?

60 years of age is NOT elderly. Far more teen drivers have "accidents" than do "elderly" people. At age 60, most people have not even reached retirement age. They must still drive to work, etc. I would not be against periodic testing of those over the age of 75, however.

Forgive my choice of words. This is the exact reason why we commercial pilots fought to have the mandatory retirement age raised to 65, which still needs to be approved. Hell, we probably would have tried to push it out to 70, but the FAA and some of their "medical experts" said that the statistical data would not support that. They think that after age 60, the chances of a pilot suffering from a major health issue, such as a heart attack or stroke, go up 45%. Of course, they also were using older data and they were not taking into account the advances in medical and health technology.

You don't know what caused the accident, you are assuming it is their fault.

Yep. True. I hate it when the car just takes it into it's own mind to fly off the road without any warning at all. I just HATE it when that happens......
