interview

Go check out the link...the newspaper interviewed the evacuee children that are staying at my house for the next 3 months. i figured i would post it for my friends here who care. i copied just the part about them here. For the next three months, Kamie Moffett and her stepbrother Darrell Brumfield will call S J. Montgomery their new school, while their hometown of Grand Isle recovers from Hurricane Gustav. The two 11-year-old step-siblings were among at least five other families from south-central Louisiana who had registered for classes in Lafayette Parish schools early Monday morning, said Patsy Williams, Lafayette Parish schools supervisor of the homeless education program. The program outfitted new students with uniforms and supplies. Williams said those staying in Lafayette Parish with family or friends should bring in the residence’s utility bill and a letter from the friend or family member confirming temporary residency. Moffett’s mother, a police officer, and stepfather, a construction worker, stayed behind in Grand Isle to help with recovery. The children are staying in Lafayette with a family friend who moved here following Hurricane Katrina. On Monday, Moffett had first-day jitters all over again. “He’s happy,” she gestured with her head to her stepbrother. “I’m not so happy. I’m going to miss my friends.”

If you would quit getting so wet when you get excited you could think straight and not have your blood pumping.
