can't we give the family some time to grieve before we post this. If you were such a good friend, why would you post this on this site that is know for trashing people and hurting people. Very poor taste. I'm sure the family will appreciate their child being remembered on Topix. Send them a card jerk! Don't post their most agonizing day of their life on Topix.

What's in poor taste? People legitimately asking what happened?

Topix isn't a magical hate machine. It isn't like you put someone's name on Topix and they are instantly villified. Topix reflects the real opinions of the people around you, your neighbors, co workers, friends, etc.

Why is this board filled with trash and gossip? Look in the mirror.

This is real human nature here, man. It's funny but it's true. It's not Topix' fault that at heart humans are braggarts and gossips and sometimes very unpleasant people. And if you think you're above it you're insane. Everyone has gossiped, everyone has badmouth. The only difference is that on Topix it doesn't go away and the whole public can see it.

It's just a forum and it's what you make it.

As for Wayne Darrach, a lot of people were curious what happened to him. Because nobody really *says* what happened, they will say "what a tragedy" and "I'm so sorry" and make vague passes but when someone asks "well what happened to him" everybody beats around the bush.

He committed suicide, for no reason that anyone can tell because from all accounts he was fine and happy the night that he did it.

I really hope he has found peace, and I have nothing but sympathy for his family.

save your breath and don't justify this site with your comments. When you respond you are merely giving credence to frequently nosey, gossipy, disrespectful individuals. Turn your back on them and focus on what's important the sad passing of a gifted young man who I never heard say an unkind word about anyone.

Post what crap? Things like "rest in peace" are disrespectful?

Or is it because the URL is Topix.com that any comment here is a blatant affront to this family.

So what's the "crap"? People asking who died? Is that wrong.

This is no different from the Chris Dolan thread where people who barely knew him went into kill mode so they could feel like big white knights.

showing concern and condolances is one thing and i agree it could be a way for family & friends to show how much they care but coming on saying suicide and actually speaking of ANY one who dies no matter of the cause YES thats disrespectful Wayne was a friend to my son and he was a VERY respectful gentleman may he rest in peace . condolances to his family and may god be with them all.

He did not commit suicide. He played the choking game, like so many other foolish kids out there and never believed it could kill him. It was all a mistake, not sucicide.
