SHAME ON YOU "ADULTS" WHO ARE AT LEAST EXPECTED TO HAVE "SOME KNOWLEDGE" AND ABILITY TO DISCERN THE FACTS...YOU HAVE RUINED YOUR OWN SCHOOL'S FUTURE. IN SHORT ORDER YOU WILL REFLECT ON WHAT WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE, COULD HAVE BUT DIDN'T DO......YOU WILL NOT MERGE AS AN EQUAL PARTNER-YOU WILL BE ABSORBED AND LOSE YOUR IDENTITY TOTALLY AND YOUR KIDS WON'T MEAN ANYTHING IN THE MIX. I AM GLAD TO SAY THOUGH THE ADMINISTRATION AND A FEW OF THE TEACHERS OF O-E SCHOOL ARE GOOD, BUT THE BOARD CUT THE THROAT OF THE FUTURE OF YOUR SCHOOL.....GET YOUR FOR SALE SIGNS OUT NOW WHILE YOU CAN!!!

I am really surprised by the ignorance here. OE has an 8 million dollar bond to pay back. They have less than 1 million in reserves. There is a 2% cap on tax increases...so how are you going to raise the funds to continue? With the state budget cuts, how long is it going to last?

Now that we are done with stj then we can have our sport teams again. then we can win some basketball games again, not like last year when we merged with stj.

I'm so sad that they did not give the PUBLIC the choice to vote! Who gave them the power to speak for the community? Unfortunately, Glen has no children in the school and feels it's OK to make the decision for the rest of the children. Jen was a puppet to him! Jay, Really... you do have children. Why are you not concerned about giving them MORE than what you were given. George, Shame on you to think you have the right to speak for everyone! Just plain Discussed to see our communtiy so torn. I'm not saying it was the best solution to merge, just the PEOPLE's RIGHT!

well get OE off our sports teams and maybe they would have felt as small as they are. Give them something for nothing and all they do is take! bunch of scum anyways . I wanted to go with Fort Plain in the first place. Hope we try a merge with them. Let OE die out in seven years.

O-E on its own will die off, the will be no funding to exist with only 400 students...you won't be able to afford the services mandated by the state...and Mr. Russom's position is Required by NY State and He goes a Great job for the district and receives alot of grief for it too. Ft. Plain admin wanted St. J and the citizens of Ft. Plain Want St. J to bring the taxes down in their district. St. J wanted to keep their identity and 2 schools of 400 would merge into one and be absorbed. Ft Plain 850 and OE choice of Dolgeville 1000- how will OE keep their identity when their only option of survival is being absorbed by that district? It is sad----Sad for the children. I agree OE Board members were ignorant of the true ramifications of their actions and Yes- The Public should have had the right to vote, but their are a lot of people who like the that ostrich approach when it comes to the reality of life in tax burdened NY State. They have a year....Educate the people in OE perhaps after a dose of reality they may wake up before it is too late!!!
God Bless both of the school

You are wrong outside opinion the state does not mandate a super a building principle can do the job. He is a bully and intimidates the children of O.E. He also does the same to the employees of O.E. So if you think that is what makes a wonderful super take him we don't want him, ask Northville.
