How many now on payroll? ST J was running fine, why now hire another, who we have to replace with a new math teacher? Spending tax payers money seems to be a obsession with school boards. There is only 9 more weeks of the term left, so we replace people who are not even missed, requiring hiring a new math teacher who are non existent.

First of all... What an EXCELLENT choice!! Good Luck Mrs. D.
Secondly, there is a lot of state mandated protocol not being accomplished...I.e. teacher evals. Wouldn't you like to know if some of the "inadequates" could be sloughed during this new merge process?!! What better time to ensure the finest for your children.

WTH were you thinking SJ. Good job, leaving the kids high and dry that need help getting through the math regents exam. Who approved this? Seems you hurt these kids more than helped them. What happened to the famous words "it's all about the kids".

Makes me wonder what the hurry was to get a new principal in place. Couldn't the board have waited a few weeks and let the NEW board hire a principal? Poor judgement again, nothing new...SSDD

Great job hiring a member of our community, who grew up here, and understands this community. Great job bringing back another teacher, who has taught here for 30 years and again, understands our community. Makes a lot more sense than bringing in an out of towner. Additionally, this action was seamless and accomplished professionally, by all parties. Keep up the good work. Hopefully the new school board will see how well out superintendent is running things and keep her around.

Let me ask this question, is the new principal related to anyone under her? That would be a conflict of interest. Also a hard thing to do in this small town ( not be related to someone that the BOE votes in)

Do we really need Mr.Sova,Mrs.Campione,and Mrs.D?How many students do we have up at the high school and in the elementary?I'm sorry, but i don't believe anyone can justify paying out all these salaries for the amount of students we have. Two out of these three, can run the school.Stop spending money that could be used for other things.

Did you ever think that school districts have to follow rules according to NYS? We may all agree with you on not needing all these people in high places, but if NYS says you need them, what are you supposed to do?

Every school needs a principal according to NYS Ed.

Mr.Sova should of covered SJ elementary as acting principal.
Mrs.Campione should of covered SJ high school as acting Supt/principal.

Seems like the good ol' boys club strikes again.'Lets get our people in place before the new board takes over'. At what expense? The kids! The kids lost their math teacher a few weeks before regents testing.
Be careful who you vote for, you may get 3 more years of this kind of BS...

could - a simple past tense of can

should - simple past tense of shall

Common sense - sound and prudent judgment based on a simple perception of the situation or facts.
Thus, "common sense" (in this view) equates to the knowledge and experience which most people already have, or which the person using the term believes that they do or should have.

Unfortunately, you big government lovers who elected Cuomo and his democrat buddies have overwhelmed schools with paperwork. Don't be surprised if we need to hire a few more assistant principals just to keep up with all of the paperwork.

I think you missed the point... They were making fun of you for saying "should of" and "could of", instead of the correctly worded "should have" and "could have". "Could of" and "should of" are mistaken because of the contractions "should've & could've", where the apostrophe takes the place of the h-a in "have". Just a quick grammar lesson to go along with your dictionary definitions of "could" & "would" so you can use them correctly in the future.
