The initial statement of this post is patently false. But go ahead, believe everything you read on Topix. Obviously, this was written by a former and disgruntled employee.
FACTS: Consultant? Where are the OPEN competitive bids for this position?? No where. Why?? Because they did not have any! Palmer was FIRED in 2009, coincidentally formed a consulting business but served as DPW Commissioner, and now is a DPW consultant?? He is as bad as Peters, or worse. Crooked as hell to say the least. Bill Burrows FIRED him due to his dishonesty and doing non-company business during working hours. He, Palmer, is on the DPW board to milk the taxpayers for as much as he can. He is smiling ear-to-ear that he got his son a great job working for Sammy at the sewer plant. BFF's!! He did the same thing at Burrows where I work damn hard for my pay, and where his other son works and has a cushy job! Yup, he will screw every taxpayer, boss, co-worker, company, anybody to get ahead and make $ for himself and his kids. Peters & Palmer GET THEM OUT! LF FACTS NOT FICTION! Go to the next meeting and ask questions and have them produce paperwork to back up their facts.

• First Ward Alderman Ronald Petrie asked for an update on the removal of the debris from the demolition of the row houses on Garden Street and the mayor replied Jim Palmer, of the Board of Public Works, is in the process of coming up with a solution.
“Of 16 samples that were taken at the site one came back as being positive for asbestos,” said Peters.“A contractor will have to be hired to remove the debris, likely at a cost of $6,000 to $7,000, and there is the possibility the city’s Department of Public Works may be able to get in there and fill it in and grade the area, which would save money.”
“The project is moving forward, but with the state, the Department of Environmental Conservation, the testing and the paperwork involved it is taking time,” he added.
Mark Zist, you don't stop do you? Always commenting giving your opinion. No-one gives a shit about your fat ass, your concerns, or well anything about you. Why don't you just go ahead and I don't know, burn your computer, and move. I never liked you, your wife has always been nice. But your so f-in nosey I don't even like your wife any more. Keep it up you wont have many friends. Move out of the south side, out of LF, out of STATE!

I could waste a lot of time and try to answer this issue but even if I found the Lindberg baby, the Roswell saucer, and Bigfoot, topix ranters still would not believe it. It would be better if the naysayers attend the next Common Council Meeting and ask, live and in person. Then post your info here on topix. But we both know that no one will show up to do that. Shame.

Nice dodge. Why of all the questions that you answer on here do you consistently refuse to answer any questions about the city's hiring practices? Hmmmmmmmm?

I didn't say it was a skill, Dave. The only skill you seem to have is degrading others.
