Just moved to Highland a few weeks ago and was wondering where the best place to take my car is. Someone reliable and honest and doesn't give me a bunch of bs I don't need. Any info is helpful! Thanks!

Not Jacobers or Autotech. ADR isn't bad.

Just my opinion. But maybe checking the BBB or the chamber of commerce or other reputable business like that might be better than a gossip site like topix.
My assumption is that you are just stirring up drama. So..... have fun with that.

I actually just moved here from GA for school at SIUE. I've had bad experiences with dealers, and I prefer independents, as to keep the money in the community. I thought I would ask the community, seeing as though it worked well in Layfayette... I'm sorry you feel that way.
And thanks, I'll be sure to check those out, and the bbb is anotger great option! Thanks again!

There isn't anything too wrong with it. I bought it new and like to keep up on all of the maintenance on it as well as oil changes and such...

Stay faaaar away from Keith's. His young, inexperienced, underpaid techs screw up more than they fix (at your expense, of course).

I've heard a lot of bad things here and otherwise about Keith's.... I'm not going to outright say anything derogatory towards that shop, as I have no knowledge of it, but I've also heard a few good things about OCD and Knebel's.... Has anyone had any experiences with those places? I'm not opposed to trying out different companies and finding one that really does work for me. I know I will be due for an oil change SOON! Lol.

My family uses OCD quite a bit. It started when my wife was towed there about 2 years ago with our pos minivan and he was very insightful. He is a bit out of town, and he got a bad rap a few years ago with the guy he had behind the desk being a real douche to all the customers. He took the time to explain to my wife all the issues with the van and what he would recommend we do to fix it, offered for her to take the estimates home and discuss with me, and didn't hassle her to stay and fix everything right away. His prices seem higher than most shops, but the name says it all, he strives for perfection in every car he touches, and stands behind his work. And seriously, you spend more money on a good night at the bar, why not make sure your piece of shit runs better than most pieces of shit! Sean is a good guy in my book, and I will continue to take my vehicles to his shop as long as he is in business and I am within 2 hours of his shop.

I took my truck to Keith's automotive. The secretary said I could write 3 checks as I didn't get paid for 2 weeks. As it turns out Keith wouldn't do it that way because I'm a "first time customer" I called where I bought the truck and they would fix it for free. So I call back and Keith had "already started" fixing the truck. Later on I call and Keith agrees that if I pay half I can get the truck to go to an appointment with my specialist. The day the truck gets done on the 25th I call to get the total for half. Well guess what. Keith won't do half because I'm a "first time customer". I have several references including a guy I've bought multiple vehicles from and he still don't care. This isn't a pity story it's a story of a guy who simply can't keep his word. I will never take another vehicle to this man I don't care if I have to walk.

I believe this 100%. My mothers car was overheating & she took it in there. They quoted her for a flush at $400 to fix the problem. She couldn't afford it & had my brother check it out. It was the thermostat & cost only $13 to replace it. Big difference!
