Apparently….two girls were taking from there around 10:30 this morning. They both had alcohol poisoning, neither were responsive and one is still in a coma the last I heard.

Is anyone surprised? Its the local watering hole for the "get your fix here" crowd. I can't believe the police let the place stay open. O well, welcome to WFParish.

I know for a fact that one is still in a coma. Alcohol/dope or both? Who were these two girls with? By themselves or what?

So were they left overnight or did they just start very early in the morning? I find it hard to believe they could become this intoxicated so early in the day...

Who wrote: So were they left overnight or did they just start very early in the morning? I find it hard to believe they could become this intoxicated so early in the day... They were partying after hours. From what I understand they drank until 6 in the morning went to sleep and he(the owner) couldn’t wake them up. The owner lives outside the bar in a trailer which is where they were from what I gather. Well…live may be the wrong term, he stays out there when he is working. They picked them up

...from the trailer. I think? The people telling me the story were a little vague on that part.

Just a question wrote: I know for a fact that one is still in a coma. Alcohol/dope or both? Who were these two girls with? By themselves or what? No one enters into a coma from "dope" by the way. Alcohol poisoning will do it though. They were with the owner from what I am told. The officers there tried to arrest him but I don't think they had enough at the time to make an arrest. If both of the girls are of age (which I'm told they are) there was no real apparent "crime" committed.

Who wrote: It is a bartenders responsibility to cut someone off if they have had too much!!!! This is true...BUT...you are missing one important factor. The bar wasn't open. They we "hanging out" at his "home." There was no bartender relationship at that point. You have to look at this as if they were at a friends house drinking at a private party after a night at the bar. At least that is how the law has to look at it...I think. If someone has some statute or case law that says otherwise I would be interested in reading it. For what it is worth...I'm not defending the guy and I wish the bar would close down and stay closed. But the law is the law.

Who wrote: Just curious, who owns the bar and how old is he?? I believe his name is Brandon. He is the building owner's son from what I hear. I would guess that he is in his mid to late thirties from his appearance. Though I suppose "hard" living could of aged him causing him to appear older or the alcohol could of pickled him making him appear younger.
