I agree. Nobody cares that we have a nationally known author in our midst who has just published a major book about his sister and our community, but plenty of people seem to want to engage in stupid gossip. The customer who had the problem has restated it, ad nauseum, and the rest of the discussion is salacious babble that meets the legal standard for libel.

I totally agree, I love Elliotts, thank God we have something other than Fred's. I think the rest is BS.

Why does everyone think when someone gives a statement or an opinion they automatically want to say it is illegal or wrong?

You made your point about your experience quite clearly the first time you posted it and you certainly have a right to continue to repeat it as many times as you want, but your point has been made. On the legal thing, your rights are protected by HIPAA, see more here:

The legal references related to the gossip on here, not your complaint which you should formally file if you believe it is necessary.

A simple statement or opinion is fine, nothing wrong with it, however when the statement is malicious, false and posted as a "fact" on here it is a libel statement and punishable by law. Which is why lawsuits are popping up everywhere over post that are being made on boards like this.

Every statement I made was true in my personal experience.
