I didn't realize you were the arbiter of credibility on this site, Laura, but now I do.

But "your words betray your intellect"? What could that possibly even mean?

As for those like countrylad who would try to conceal their congenital dishonesty and cravenness under an pompous but wafer-thin veneer of "civility", the term for that is "poseur".

Countrylad is the wannabe humble statesman of honest conversation, the only problem being he wants to hold OTHERS to that standard. If you don't buy what he's selling without question, if you measure HIM by that same standard, though, you're being unfair to poor old malapropist countrylad, you're being mean, you're being uncivil. How could someone be so unspeakable!

How many here has countrylad already intimidated by this passive-aggressive racket? He'll claim in whatever passive, weaselly way he wants what he wants to claim about something or someone else, but if anyone has the audacity to call bs on HIS lies, as I have, they're being mean to poor widdle humble, civil countrylad, who wouldn't hurt a fwy.

Christ, if a slowpoke like countrylad can successfully run a transparent con game like that on this forum, a professional politician is going to be able to harvest folks around here like sugar cane.

But you don't need to take my word for it. This whole thread is a transcript of what I'm talking about, and I stand by every word I've said about that sniveling little POS and everything he's said and done here.

But, again, if countrylad is your special needs family member, please, please come and get him, and, again, I apologize for tasking him beyond his abilities.

Sad, but consistent. Its what's called being a patterned writer. Almost totally predictable, except for the adjectives.

Good grief, countrylad, you just responded to it. You really have no clue about anything you randomly spit up on this site, do you? Everything just ricochets back and forth safely inside your head, without the possibility of contradiction from anything in the outside world. No wonder you of all people criticized me for commenting anonymously.

Do they tie a long string around your neck when they go out shopping?

Laura, you realize those three sentences don't communicate anything to the reader outside of your head, don't you? The most you are doing is muttering it to yourself, then typing it out.

How y'all doing?(BTW, I know I'm a yankee but my grandma used to say y'all all the time. Anyway...)

Here are several new posts on Rod's recent Catholic bashing article in TIME magazine:

and

It isn't just the Catholic Church Rod Dreher is trying to steer people away from. I also noticed that our favorite human parasite, after snuffling through the gutters for some already stale anti-Francis cliches to freshen up for Time by making them all about himself instead, then turned around and did the same thing with WFP.

Unfortunately, he's using his supposedly "objective" local blog to sway readers opinions of the competing PP candidates. As No Big Deal from Baton Rouge points out, "I find it irresponsible of Mr. Dreher to omit that April LeCroix is Lea Williams neice."

http://www.topix.com/forum/city/st-francisvil...

BTW, did you know that WFP needs economic development? Why, I wouldn't have had a clue if I hadn't read about it in the Bonnie Blue Review. Unfortunately, the BBR is still in need of some economic development itself (maybe the PP candidate Rod's backing will help), so it's a good thing intrepid Reporter Rod was able to re-break that same story on his TAC blog where the pay sure beats working for a living. Without that reposting that breaking news to meet the terms of his TAC employment he might have had to fill with another picture of a plate of food or glass of beer to collect his check.

Economic development. Why, it's renting a house right there in town, even though it prefers to spend its money elsewhere on a better class of food and drink than the tainted meat and other slop those local taste buds have to settle for. Let them eat cake.

Me? I'm just the messenger. I read about people complaining about regularly finding the meat in the local grocers to be spoiled here on Topix. If what someone else posted here about that wasn't true, then I was wrong.

Does the Dreher, Jr. family regularly buy its food and drink alongside the other citizens of WFP, or does it disdain local victuals in favor of superior ones bought elsewhere? If the first, I was wrong. If they do buy and eat the local offerings regularly, why not post some Rod Dreher local grocery store sightings? Those would no doubt encourage everyone. If they don't, well...

For not understanding I was attributing the sentiment you quoted to someone else, I'm sorry you didn't.

Heck, I'm a dumb redneck from LA just like you.

Here's what us dumb rednecks figured out when we stumbled into the big city, though. If you can't figure out what the product for sale is, the product is you.

Writers sell stories and businessmen pursue business opportunities. If you don't know for sure differently, what's being packaged and sold in each case is probably you. If you end up getting something for yourself in either situation, even better.

Isn't it obvious that Rod Dreher is supporting Kevin Couhig? Surprising that a self-proclaimed conservative should be supporting a recently un-closeted liberal. If Dreher supports Couhig, then that's enough for me. I will vote for ANYONE except Couhig.

Well that's pretty stupid to not vote for a candidate because someone you don't like supports him. BTW, you are dead wrong about the "uncloseted liberal" attack. Couhig donated thousands towards Romney's campaign and went to the Republican convention.

And did he contribute his thousands before, during, or after the convention. And look what happened to Romney. Thanks Kev. I can't wait until next Sunday.

Perhaps he will learn that he cannot buy the election, and perhaps he will learn that those once bought will not remain firm. Just watch the numbers next Sunday.

Then ask Lula and Otis, "What the hell happened?"

When you're telling us YOUR name is Pathetic, Pathetic, the only thing we can assume is that was what your mother moaned when you slithered out at birth and hunched your way across the floor.

But here's why we like to keep track of St.Francisville's own Howdy Doody, because of what he really thinks of all those pathetic people he has to live among. There's a reason he won't even let his kids suffer the humiliation of rubbing shoulders with the local spawn in your private schools.

If you're Protestant, your religion is right down there alongside warm spit, or as he calls it, "MTD":

http://www.theamericanconservative.com/dreher...

If you're Catholic, you're still a religious sissy:

http://ideas.time.com/2013/09/29/im-still-not...

The only real way to become the religiously muscular, masculine, manly man among men that Rod Dreher thinks he is is to join his tiny little Moscow rooted ROCOR Orthodox church. Oh, he'll smile at you and be polite, out of pity, but he can't be more clear about how pathetic he really thinks you are inside. You and your MTD-contagious children.

He does do some good things, though. I told a civil rights lawyer bud of mine who used to ride with the Bandidos back in his bad old days and who still has a crew of his own he likes to ride with that there was going to be a festival with that cowboy poetry he loves and free whiskey for all there in SF on June 6 and 7 next year:

http://www.theamericanconservative.com/dreher...

He was so excited he's planning to take a couple dozen of the brothers over for the weekend to drink all the whiskey they can hold and listen to that good old cowboy poetry they all love. The only thing I think of that might spoil his good feelings about the place would be if there was no cowboy poetry or if anybody refused service to one of the brown brothers in the crew when he wanted another drink. Then things could get a little embarrassing. But I know old Rod won't let anything like that happen, right? Right. So a good time will be had by all. Matter of fact, there's half a year to spread the word among all the panheads about the free whiskey and food. Laissez les bons temps rouler!
