It is helpful to state that you're talking about something that happened 7 years ago, not the Berlin Obama speech of over the summer. Providing a credible link would have helped, too.
I've spend a dozen minutes trying to find a couple seconds' worth of the sound bite. Not to be found. Grasping at straws is what I think is going on here!
For cripes sakes Mellers.
Jeff gave you enough keywords to generate over 200,000 hits on google. And now you have the nerve to ask for an actual link?
When you receive valuable keywords like that, you should investigate until you find a site that agrees with Jeff, then come back here and apologize.
If you can't properly research for him, it's hardly his fault. Now give yourself a clueless judge-it, and give him a brilliant judge-it.
I hope we don't have to have this conversation again.

Jeff? Jeff? Jeff? Anyone home? I challenge you to come up with ten polls that show Obama behind. Because I can find ten polls with Obama ahead. Easy.....

From the LA Times, explaining why they can't release the video:
"The Los Angeles Times did not publish the videotape because it was provided to us by a confidential source who did so on the condition that we not release it," said the newspaper's editor, Russ Stanton. "The Times keeps its promises to sources."
There goes that desperate ploy. Next?
They are attempting to DISARM THE BOMB. Nothing is more appealing to the balmy left than an "anonymous source". An honest newspaper would not cave to conditions. I want to see the tape or the story is all wind and no sail.

No, honest journalists and honest newspapers protect their sources - because they know if they betray them, they'll never find another source again. Remember Valerie Plame, going to jail for not revealing sources a year or two ago, when revealing them might have incriminated the Bush administration?

Thanks for letting me know how "informed" you are. Valerie Plame was the object of the so-called leak. Judith Miller was the reporter for the New York Times who went to jail. It was Robert Novak who wrote the story that started the whole flap. His source was Richard Armitage, a state department official who was technically a Bush admin. appointee, but who was in fact not a friend of said admin.

The Miller woman was using the balmy left's love of the "anonymous source" for self promotion. She will re-emerge one day in a memoir in which she will do a makeover on herself and appear as a journalistic avenging angel. I could write it myself, but that would make it more of a literary success than the woman deserves.

You are SO right!!!!

I did try to find it. And like the Utah poster keeps asking, what was the context?

Until I'm able to hear it, all of it, I stand by my stubbornness (I know I'm being stubborn, folks!)

People were SO up in arms when Biden said that the world is going to test Obama if he's president, and now we hear the full message: to learn that he's got a spine of steel and can handle anything (my paraphrasing).

Nothing means anything without context.

I'll admit I'm wrong when I've heard something, all of it, okay Jeff?

My original post on this subject was: "In the same interview, he compared the United States to Nazi Germany." From that, Mellers somehow thought that I was talking about Obama's Berlin speech. If Mellers would just pay attention, all this confusion could be avoided. I agree with you, Mellers does owe me an apology.

And I completely agree with you, and let me apologize in advance for something I might do sometime.
BTW, Did you catch McCain saying something somewhere to someone about how clueless you are?
Someday, I'll get the details for you.

Mellers, it wasn't from his Berlin speech, where he apologized for America to the Germans, it was from his 2001 NPR interview. It is you who is wrong and clueless. By the way, the LA Times is holding a video tape that will absolutely destroy Obama. The McCain campaign is demanding its release. You better hope that this tape doesn't come out before the election. This is why the media needs to investigate candidates, like Michele Bachmann suggested.
You liberals better be concerned about this video tape. If it ever gets out, your candidate is through. If BHO has nothing to hide, perhaps he should call for the release of the tape.

Hey way to go 'freedom of speech!!' Our country is going down the toilet because of both parties. These parties are both more interested in their own political party. They are supposed to be running our country. They are getting paid to run our country. They take our taxes & do whatever they please with them. If we had every cent that every politician spent to slander their opponent than would we have this deficit? See how the parties come up with the money for this crap? Yet who really does what they promise they will do? 500+ people out of our entire American population are paid to not take care of our country. That is the bottom line here. What Michelle Bachmann has said has been misconstrued & twisted so many different ways. I hear so many Hollywood (& by the way who really cares what Hollywood thinks?!) say disparaging things on a daily basis about President Bush. That surely doesn't seem to be bothering many people. She is right to say the United States should be certain there are NO Anti-American politicians doing that job!! Why is that wrong? I want my government to take care of this country & stop feeding into this severe divide within our country. I will be voting for Michelle Bachmann. She has the right to speak just like the rest of America.... pile of hypocrites!

All I said is I had not nor was I aware of anyone else who has sent him money.
