Belmont County Woman Charged With Pedestrian's Death

This is not the definition of justice! 5 Years max?! What kind of message are we sending to people? If you get mad at someone, hit them with your car so you don't do that much time. She used her vehicle like a murderer uses a gun. I drive all the time, and if I seen a person in my way I would go off of the road not to hit them. I would most certainly stop and see if the person was Ok, if that ever did happen. She did none of this! This makes me sick to my stomach, someone lost a life and they are marking it up as an accident.

I'm not going to pretend I know exactly what happened that night, but from what I read they argued earlier that night at a bar. later she ran her over and fled the scene. The first judge excluded himself because he new amanda. It sounds like premeditated vehicular homicide, but having connections she got a much lesser charge and sentence - and thats a shame. jmo

Wow, Uncle Larry...coming from one of the dead girl's family members...I don't really appreciate that. I KNOW what happened that night. And now my 23 year old, baby cousin is dead, and the girl who killed her will only serve 4 years. You think that's funny???!!!!

I am so very sorry for your family's loss. She appears to be a lovely young lady.

If it was an argument over a man (as some have hinted at) why on earth wasn't she charged differently with a more serious crime?

If this would have only gone to trial, the truth would come out. If somebody would be doped up bad, damage may be more hurtful than if the person was clean. Ms. Hudock got a more severe penalty than if this would have been dragged through the judicial system. The only consolation she received is that the court part of this is done with.
