What the heck is that thing on the Southeast corner of 9 mile & Harper? My God, it looks like something holding up a dish from dish network. This thing is about as stupid as the mermaid on 12 mile. Who voted this in and WHAT DID THIS THING COST? What another waste of money for the city..

$100 to the first peson that posts a picture of any council member or city dept. head. Or anyone who had any thing to do with those stupid pocket parks sitting on one of those benches.

Giant umbrellas? Mushrooms? I agree with the satellite dish comparison. Between this and the "pocket parts," geez. Some bare lawn is ok SCS, you do not have to sculpt and concrete it all.

I sat on the bench and my pants froze to the bench. There is blue still on the bench but it is in denim. Plus I did not see any action in the apartment building in front of me. Someone was behind the curtain, though.

Other eyesores: Wally's Frozen Yogurt yellow building on Harper, Wally's frozen yogurt firetruck, Ron Frederick's yellow vest, Ken Pod white 80's mustache, Ex-Candidate Troester summer outfits, Sandy Wolny, Duane Michno, Sandy Wolny with Duane Michno. Lady GaGa. Curt Dumas with his right thumb in the air on Jefferson out front of City Hall. The sign he was holding said Detroit or bust. Texas was scratched off with majic marker, Kwame must have been in the courthouse in downtown Detroit. The dish network commercial that is going to be on 9 and Harper. Duane Michno making out with the mermaid on 12 and Harper. Ex-councilman Ahearn kissing Ted Wahby's feet. This was Awesome, Awesome, Awesome.

It was a much more elaborate piece of art, but they stored it at the DPW prior to installing. Several parts came up missing. Don't worry, Ron is on the case to solve the mystery.

I sat on the bench facing the hedges south of 12 mile, not much happening there. In the summmer I can watch it grow. If I'm luckey maybe the owner will come out and trim them while I'm there.
The crazy old man that lived next door to me when I was growin up in Detroit , would sit on the porch for hours watching the grass grow. Maybe I'll sponsor that pocket park in his name.
How much will it cost Ron? I will give yo a call, off the record.

I don't think Ahearn was kissing Ted's feet, he was kissing something a little higher and on the backside.

If you want to see a real eyesore, take a look at the first house west of Mack on Elizabeth on the south side of the street. It's the one with 12 year old building permits in the window and two garages in the backyard.
