At last night's council meeting Mr. Kelly brought up some very interesting points about DPW. Others have also brought up-using city equipment for private use. How come this department always always gets away with doing underhanded things. Putting notices on residents doors that their water meter is broken and needs the new water meter (when it wasn't). Trying to bully residents, lying to them. Now putting tags on doors telling residents that they were at the house to install a new water meter when they do not even knock on the door. Then putting another tag that they are going to shut off their water. My neighbor and I have heard others have gone down to the water dept., to speak to someone in this dept., and they are always told, no one is here and no one calls them back. When is administration going to wake up and do something! It is wrong and an shameful!

I have been told that if you were to report a consern on the citys website that it can be followed as to who responds. I have yet to do this so I am going by what I have heard.

Just watched the council meeting. How can this be happening again. Are they never held accountable? Why would we let this department in our home when they continually do things like this?

I got two or three notes on my door about the city having been there to change my meter and I never had an appointment. If what the guy said at the council meeting about the guy never ringing the bell is true, then the meter installer is deceiving the residents when he puts the notice on the door. So do I want to let such a person in my home? Not even on a cold day in He...
